Tarifa Hotels with Airport pickup service

Location okay, nice walk on the beach into the old town. Unfortunately the staff was unfriendly. The WiFi didn't work in the room and there was a construction site next door.

Very central, great, friendly staff. Cheap and super clean. Family atmosphere. Come here for many years and had no complaints so far. In the surroundings everything walks. Port on vision. The market is 5 minutes walking distance.

We spent five nights here and were really impressed with the staff as nothing was too much trouble. They were always attentive, polite and helpful at all times. The rooms and public areas are really clean, spacious and well-appointed and the bed comfortable. We had a room which looked in on the courtyard which meant it was cooler and considering the days were warm in June, was a welcome relief. Breakfast is really good and probably one of the best buffet choices I’ve seen in a while and tasty. Plenty of space for guests so never had a problem getting a table when we came down. The location is excellent – literally 10 minutes tops from the small and beautiful town and less from the marina where you can get a high speed crossing to Tangier. The restaurants and bars in town were really good value so we ventured out each night to eat as it was great to soak up the atmosphere. We had a hire car and there is a fee for each day of your stay. The car park is a little tight when manoeuvring the levels so be aware if you have a large vehicle. The rooftop pool was a really nice addition and had great views. The only issue being a lot of people wanted to use it and space is limited but if can get a bed, it’s a great space to soak up the sun and have a drink. We were able to check out and pay the night before as we had to leave at 6am which was no problem at all. The hotel even gave up a packed breakfast to take with us which was a really nice touch. If we find ourselves back in Tarifa, we would stay here again.

The room was clean and functional which was exactly what I needed. It is pet friendly as well. I really enjoyed the buffet style breakfast. The gardens where absolutely beautiful. The nicest gardens of any hotel I have been in and I have travelled in numerous countries.

We booked into hostal gravina in Tarifa, it was our first visit to the area and we’re pleasantly surprised at the attention to detail and amenities for their customers. The rooms were spotless and they had a lift which was super as I am waiting on knee replacement I would recommend it to anyone and will be going back myself

We spend 3 nights in this hotel. We wanted to visit Gibraltar for 2 days, but staying there was very expensive so this was a cheaper option. By car it took us 30 minutes to drive to the border of Gibraltar. The hotel looked grand from the outside. Like something from a Hollywood movie. The garden also was nice. But there was almost nobody. There were hardly any guests this time of year. It felt we had the hotel for ourselves. We even had to collect the key for the indoor swimmingpool at the reception to open the door. Inside the hotel and the room were not that grand or goodlooking. Especially the carpet looked dirty. Our room was ok, it was spacious but we don't see the 4 stars in it. The hotel is not in town center, it could be walked but the path was dark. We spend one night for dinner in the restaurant and that was the best experience. Just like breakfast the food was very good and the service great. Thanks to Alvaro for the personal touch! We asked for advice at the reception and we got friendly and good advice. A good plus is the free parking for our rental car.

I feel bad giving Kook Hotel a five star review because I’ve given many others five stars, and Kook is SO much better. First the staff, Oriana at reception was so warm and welcoming, went above and beyond to make sure our Tarifa experience was exceptional. After more than a year of travel since we retired I can say that we’ve never felt such warmth and welcome anywhere. Paqui. We met Paqui preparing breakfast our first morning. She was so warm and friendly, telling us proudly about her city of Tarifa, “una ciudad de puertas abiertas” a city so safe you don’t need to lock your doors. Pepe. We asked Pepe, the manager, where we could find a laundry, he responded by asking us how much we had and then they washed our clothes for us at no charge. When we checked out after two nights, Oriana gave us a hug, it almost brought tears to our eyes, because unfortunately, this level of warmth and kindness is all too rare. And if that wasn’t enough, the food and drinks they provide are beyond the pale, I particularly loved their chia oat breakfast and avocado toast. And of course, they had the most comfortable bed and best shower we’ve had in Europe thus far. They have super cool common areas with a living green wall and an amazing rooftop terrace. Kook is a 10 star hotel with a 100 star staff. We were so sad to leave.

The worst hotel experience in Spain, the front desk was no one at 2 pm, but it was not stated on Ctrip. We arrived at night and could not find this hotel. We were around for more than an hour and didn't drive into the main street next to the hotel. It was windy and rainy at night, and I couldn't go back to the same intersection with the navigation. Finally, Ctrip customer service was coordinated at 10 o'clock in the evening. They found the hotel and waited for nearly 40 minutes before they came to open the door. There were no prompt calls and text on the door of the hotel, it was too pit. It took more than two hours before and after entering the hotel. The room was very tidal, dripping down, the basics of sleep did not sleep well, said that there is a parking lot, ask them customer service, tell me that the city is very small, parking spaces are few, not good stop. The only advantage is that it is three hundred meters away from the ferry terminal. If you go to the ship to Tangier, Morocco, it is more convenient.
