It was a surprise to find Tavira one of the best hotels I have visited in my life. Very nice location with a boat that brings you to the beach every hour, the rooms are a good size and clean, the large pool with heated water or the indoor spa pool. Finish it all off with a good buffet or à la carte restaurant. With this money I did not think to find all this, I almost give 5 stars

Very good hotel with history and stories. Even if the hotel is not fully booked, the restaurant is noisy. Because of the buffet concept, it is very confusing. The restaurant staff did not really pay attention to the guests. Unfortunately. There are also many stinging insects, please pay attention to October or even during the day.

Reasonable, friendly staff, unfriendly hotel maître d', doesn't greet anyone. Very restricted restaurant and bad service (unqualified staff for the resort that it is. First and last time I visit, for the price, it deserved another welcome.

A very well appointed hotel in this former tuna fishing village. Of course, you need a car to get to this hotel, but you are therefore peaceful, far from everything, at the end of the salt marshes! The rooms could be a little better soundproofed, but they are very pleasant overlooking a small garden shared by around ten rooms with a small outdoor table. The breakfast served as a buffet, with pancakes on request, allows you to find everything you need. Dinner is also buffet style with grill to order (chicken or tuna). A pleasant swimming pool, a little cold in this season, but that's normal! Honestly, we spent 2 very pleasant nights in this hotel. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Everything and everything in the hotel exceeded the expectations we had. A well-kept space at all levels, full of history related to tuna fishing, which we enjoy learning about. POSITIVE - Top Room and Hygiene. - Impeccable outdoor spaces. - The SPA and gym - good and varied buffet dinner - Snacks and cocktails and Bar Staff. - Entertainment team ***** thank you to everyone and especially to Mariana. NEGATIVE -In the SPA the Turkish bath did not work. -In the bedroom, the flexible shower protection easily left the bathroom floor wet.

Historic place in a secluded, quiet location, about 4 km from Tavira. Former tuna fishing area, a complete place with settlement, church, school.. Beautiful and well-kept plants. Good beds in the rooms, otherwise not very comfortable (there is no coffee/tea making facilities, only the bare essentials in the bathroom..). The restaurant also offers a rather meager selection in the off-season (we were here in March).. There is also no shuttle to the offshore island or to the city.. I really like this place, but I think the price is excessive given the restrictions imposed by the off-season.

I had stopped writing reviews generally, but felt our stay here was very good. A unique building and location. We went out of season, so avoided the worst of the mosquitoes, but this meant the hotel was quiet and only some services were available. For example The shuttle bus only went 5 days per week and we were not aware until too late that the ferry to the island only went from the town and not the hotel quay. The buffet dinner was reasonable, but limited and expensive for what was offered. The included breakfast was enjoyable but some more healthy options ( Seeds , nuts, berries ,dairy alternatives) could have been offered Staff were all excellent and helpful. Our room 226 was a little basic ,but a very good location with fantastic views. I think a little more could be made of the history but the museum was a nice touch but more on the building would have been good.

Amazing hotel! The concept of taking a small fishing village and transforming it into a tourist complex was just brilliant! Furthermore, the trea**ent was incredible, at the level of what we are used to in Vila Galé! The food was very good too!
