Worst possible experience at this hotel. First, when we arrived for check in at 3pm, the room wasn’t ready. We had to wait 45 min to get the room, which was quite bad after spending the night on the plane. Then the A/C in the room wasn’t working which meant that it was like 35 degrees in the room, which made it impossible to sleep. We couldn’t sleep with the window open as it was so loud (apparently some American employee of the hotel). When we came back the second day, the room hadn’t been cleaned. We complained to the manager, and he said that we hadn’t requested it or hadn’t activated the sign on the door (something he didn’t tell us when we checked in). Breakfast only starts at 9, so we were unable to have breakfast at the hotel during our entire stay (we would usually be on the road at 8am). The worst thing was probably when we tried to cancel one night and get a refund because the airline had changed our tickets. When we first arrived, we added an extra night to our reservation (21-22 May) and paid by card for the full stay (of course the manager tried very hard to make us pay in cash). The following day, when we had to cancel one night because of the flight change, the manager claimed it was not possible to get a refund, despite the cancellation policy on *********** and elsewhere being that one can cancel free of charge until 17:59 on the same day. We tried many times to convince him (especially given the terrible experience we had at his hotel), but to no avail. Stay away!
