The Grove Design Hotel

Very helpful staff, excellent and clean hotel.

I booked the hotel thinking I was getting a bargin but unfortunately not. The pictures of the hotel look like a new design and flatter it too much. e.g Etro products in bathroom photos but in reality the cheapest products. This supposedly a 4 star hotel but nearer 2 maybe a low 3 star. We stayed on the third floor to the front of the Hotel. The third floor as you come out of the lift has yellow carpet. The carpet is stained very badly throughout. On entering our room the blue carpet and even parts of the wall were stained badly. The traffic can be really bad in Tblisi and they like blowing their horns. I would suggest when booking a hotel boom room not facing the road. The red carpet on the other floors were also so badly stained including the blue carpet in the breakfast area. Breakfast was not that good, choice very small/poor. On the good side the reception staff were very helpful, 5 stars. The room was large and beds very comfortable. The bathrooms also are a decent size and modern. It would not take much, change the carpets, clean the walls and provide a decent breakfast choice to bring it up to match the staffs quality. I will not be booking this again and found that my fellow travellers on this break stayed in the Museum Hotel and The Old Hotel, much cleaner, cheaper, better location and when I saw their bedrooms knew I got a bad deal.

Let me begin the review by stating that i have not even checked in at the hotel yet and i am already so impressed. I am going to be staying there for 4 days and being a hotelier myself, i can tell you the service in this hotel specially by the Front Office Manager Nino has been outstanding. Very proactive and helpful in arranging some special arrangements for my partners birthday surprise. I can only imagine how the service would be when i get there. Excited.
