We have stayed at this property at least three times in two different condo units. We enjoy the location and proximity to the beach and shopping. The pool is generally fine and there are some nice views depending on which condo you are in. Overall, the condos seem to be getting a little rundown. My issue is with the management of the property. Unfortunately, on our last night, there was a major rainstorm which triggered an extremely loud siren in the building we were staying in. It went off at 4 AM. Awoken and alarmed, we called the after hours number and got a voice message. We then called 911 to determine if there was an emergency. Police and fire said to call back if we smelled smoke. The alarm went off continuously for three more hours. We heard back from the property management team at 6 AM, two hours after our first message. One hour later the alarm was still going off at 7 AM. We called management again and they sounded surprised to hear it was still going off. It was incredibly distressing and a sad way to end our beautiful stay on Hawaii. it bothers me that the property management team was not available and the guests had to endure three hours of nonstop blaring siren. My interactions with the agency were less than satisfactory and they declined any reimbursement or future discount. I understand that torrential rainstorms happen and alarms get triggered, but three hours of sirens from 4 to 7 AM is unacceptable.
