The resort is beautiful, laid out in a somewhat plantation style, with an absolutely strikingly, beautiful beach. The breakfast buffet seem to have a nice variety, although it was relatively the same every day. It was fine for me. The gym is small, but well stocked and the spa is beautiful. However, I really had a hard time getting over the saltiness of most of the staff with several exceptions. Concierge and Margaret, who did our turndown service were amazing and lovely. However, the wait staff is completely different. no one's going to say good morning to you first. I didn't even know that there was poolside service because I only saw somebody on one of the four days. Then it was such an odd thing because when she finally brought us a drink, I'm laying on a beach chair obviously and she would not bend down to place my drink on the table and made me get up to grab it. I know it's not a big deal. It just seems, odd. During our hotel tour, my daughter asked where the location of the gym was and apparently asked a couple of times because no one answered her and then the lady says well. Let me go show it to you now so you don't keep asking me and then sort of waved in the direction of where the gym was and when my daughter asked more specifically where it was, the lady said, are you gonna make me walk all the way over there and pointed out to you? I made it a point to learn several servers names and again if I greeted them first, I might get a good morning back. Also, the way that people asked for tips at breakfast felt a little odd and pushy. I'm not sure if they did not like my tip, but after day one no server came to the table for coffee. I didn't let it damp in my trip, but I don't think I'll come back because there are other options in the Caribbean and elsewhere with beautiful beaches where people will treat you like they're happy to have you.
