Rasa Gurukul

Absolutely amazing stay blended with nature and tasty food. We couldn’t have chosen a better place than rasa gurukul for our first long trip with our 8 month old baby. We enjoyed the stay and will definitely come back just for the amazing traditional food and those tasty mangoes. Special shout out to mr. Mohit for providing a great customer service and making our stay pleasant.

This place is magical. Situated on the beautiful Chalukudy river our bungalow was nice and spacious with a very comfortable bed, AC unit, view of the river, and a huge bathroom. The daily breakfast was absolutely delicious and we enjoyed all the Kerala specialties prepared by the chef. We loved walking around the property and seeing all the fruit trees and all the beauty around (teak trees, coconut trees, etc.). The staff is super attentive and strives to make you feel right at home. Highly recommend!

We arrived at this eco retreat straight from the airport. We wanted to rest and relax for two nights before starting our tour of Kerala. We received a very warm welcome from the manager and two other members of staff who were very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. The setting on the Chalakudy river was amazing. We were staying in one of the good sized bungalows facing the river. Meals were taken in the main house. All the meals were vegetarian and delicious, so full of flavour. We had a full explanation of all of the dishes, which we found interesting. We were taken on a farm tour looking at the abundant fruit and veg grown organically there. Ending with a fresh coconut cut down for us to drink as we sat admiring the birdlife on the river, which was just lovely. We also had a ride on a traditional bullock cart. We had two one hour sessions with the yoga master, tailored to our ability, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We also had two one and a half hour Ayurvedic treatments each which included a steam at the end. These were carried out by a lovely husband and wife team of Ayurvedic practitioners. We both found the treatments to be utterly blissful and just what we needed. Our only complaint was that the comfort was not there in the bungalow The bed was a good size but the mattress was the hardest we have ever slept on. There was no comfortable seating in the large living area and the seating on the veranda was also not comfortable.

Set on a beautiful river . The quant rustic hotel was just great. Staff were amazing and very helpful. The room was spacious. The lunch on a banana leaf was really tasty and very in expensive. My only issue was the mattress was very hard .

Great experience super hospitality, food quality is beyond my expectations friendly staff looking forward for more visits. The river view is excellent we enjoyed in river. Everything is neat and clean. Ambiance is beyond my imagination
