Travelodge by Wyndham Thunder Bay

My worst experience so far. A smell of cigarettes in the corridor leading to my room, the smell was coming from an identified room, the 203, which had its door shortly open. From outside, we were able to see the room occupants smoking from their room with windows open. They were throwing out the smoke outside but there was the awful smell inside the hotel. I complained 4 times about it and no action has been taken to take care of the problem. Also, my neighboor kept hitting on the wall until over midnight and it made it hard for me to sleep. I complained 3 times about it and no action has been taken. Also, a drunk person kept calling at my room to disturb us. I asked the receptionist for knowing who was the person who kept calling me and she was unable to tell. She was also unable to check and/or prevent the calls so I have been forced to pull the plug on the phone, so it stops to ring. Without a doubt my worst hotel experience by very far. 0 effort from the staff to solve any of the numberous problems. It was a complete disaster. I also forgot to mention how dirty the alley was on my way to my room. There was chips on the carpet, used toilet paper, used dirty towels. It was obvious the staff accountable of cleaning messed up his job. To resume, bad receptionist, bad cleaner, bad service and bad neighboors. It was a complete disaster. Sincerely.

Nice hotel with friendly staff but the rooms bathroom need to be updated

Staff were super helpful, but the hotel itself was very run down. The shower ran freezing cold water, the hallways and rooms smelled like cigarette smoke, the wallpaper was peeling off the walls and when we arrived there were four trash bags in front of our unit with open garbage. Definitely priced high for what you get.

Worst place I’ve EVER stayed in over 50 years!! The hotel was like a crack house for all the locals & the staff never discouraged random strangers from entering the building. The room was so disgusting we didn’t even sleep IN the bed & forget staying for the morning breakfast. We have over 20 pictures and no where near enough space to describe how bad this place was. The stars for this hotel are likely from all the druggies & lowlifes but not from anyone with an ounce of dignity or brain cells. Only reason we stayed was because it was very late & we had already driven 12 hours that day. ******* MUST remove this hotel from their site if they wish to continue being a reputable company that offer travellers recommendations. It would also be amazing if I were refunded for being subjected to such deplorable conditions!!

This rooms in this hotel require updating, it is very dated and although clean, it just doesn't give you that impression.

Nothing very loud could not sleep had to ask for a different room????
