Camelot Castle Hotel

Firstly, the breakfast and dinner staff were just adorable and really helped to make our trip special. We loved this hotel, the creativity, the character and the location. It is somewhere that evokes the best elements of childhood memories, without any hint of being infantile. Food was delicious and we would love to come back!

My husband is British citizen but we temporarily live in USA, so we love visit UK when we have a chance (not traveling 🧳 somewhere else because travel is our passion). For me holiday it is sacred time! So I always plan everything throughly and each detail is matter. I wanted to visit Devon and Cornwall so I was looking something in between on the sea and something grandiose:) so I found it in Camelot Castle 🏰 I love history and for me interesting to stay in the place with history behind it! I read about this place and I could not wait to come and visit! So we booked Classic Four Poster Room with Sea View and I start to count days :) our plans were go to London after Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 and from it drive to Cornwall. So after 6 hours driving we arrived in Camelot castle and were surprised that we got upgrade for better room even it was really busy place. So many many thanks all Mappin family and Ted for such a wonderful time!!!! I knew how much work, time and money you put into this place to make it is cosy and amazing! Our stay was really superb! Our view from the window was fantastic! I definitely would stay at this hotel again and recommend all to do the same :) such a tranquil place! We drive most of the time and location of the hotel is perfect! 5 min walk to the Tintagel village. Lots of shops, pubs, cafes and tasty Cornwall ice cream 🍦so come and see it for yourself- no regrets!!!! PS. We stayed in many hotels and first time I saw that you can use Netflix in hotel TV, it is very very useful, smart choice. At the late evening with open widows, breeze and sounds of the sea we were watching our favorite show :)

We had a lovely stay at Camelot Castle. The room was well furnished and the bed comfortable. Our bathroom was exceptionally small so if we returned we would book a room with a larger bathroom. Would highly recommend dinner in the restaurant and breakfast in the morning. Beautiful views from the table. A quirky hotel but very comfortable, we will certainly return in the future.

The stay was unbeatable, we felt at home from the moment we arrived. The loving and attentive staff made you feel comfortable from minute 1. The live music of the man with the Harp playing special and Spanish music for me and making me feel welcome, the place, the food, the service and the wonderful room, the views, the spectacular bathroom with views from the bathtub that you only dream of having in your daily life. We had a fantastic experience at Camelot. Loved the incredible views of King Arthur’s Castle. The Tea room is magical!!! Kate was gracious and so attentive. It was an honor to meet Ted and John, such amazing hosts who make you feel special. Thank you Lili and Geoff

Visited whilst staying in Tintagel for an evening meal. Had a lovely 3 course meal and was a nice touch to be greeted by the co owner ( who also gifted us a piece of art, in which he signed). Stunning building and outside scenery overlooking Tintagel castle and bridge. Would definitely return.
