Such a friendly place to stay, genuinely happy to see you not just because you are a paying customer. Upgraded us to a bigger as our dogs are big which made all the difference as it was so warm. Beamed ceiling in our room and a kingsized double bed, huge on-suite bathroom. Opened the windows so we could hear the stream. The food was amazing and really large portions, homemade chips, I had dessert too though couldn't resist the steamed pudding and custard with a syrup and raspberry compot. The charge for the dogs was taken on checking-out. Short walk down to Trebarwith Strand beach.

Online the sample dishes looked good eg confit of duck with new potatoes and seasonal vegetables, so I booked for dinner. The actual menu was disappointing, mostly pub grub. Nevertheless I ordered two starters, leek and potato soup with focaccia bread followed by roasted goats cheese salad. The soup was delicious but it arrived with horrible white sliced packet bread instead of focaccia “because he didn’t make any focaccia today “. The goat’s cheese salad was very good. As for the ambience, this was dominated by two very loud (I think they were drunk) men who delighted in using the f word in every sentence often accompanied by the c word. The restaurant emptied very quickly and somehow I don’t think I’ll be going back there anytime soon.

Amazing food. The midweek special menu is a must. Breakfast was perfect. Quaint place. Lovely area. Staff very friendly. Even on a very windy, rainy, hailstoney day it was just so cosy with the log fires and sheltered terraces. 100% re booking.

What a fantastic meal for Valentines. The tables were a decent distance apart so you had your own space. The service was great, the wine was lovely, but the food was awesome . My wife loved the bread that arrived. Our starters were lovely I had the fish pasta interesting and tasty. We both had the steak which was lovely and our desserts were massive but so nice. I had the cheese board, Wow ! Big chunks grapes and apple to cleans the pallet just super. The 3 desserts my wife had was just as surprising and equally filling. Just a lovely meal for a special day. Well done The Mill.

Service excellent from the owner, couldnt fault him at all. The room was slightly disappointing, could hear noise from other rooms. Not the cleanest either. Just needs the small things to make it that much better. On the positive side, food was amazing...but needs a bit of education on allergies.

Room was dusty and very tired. Floor had not been hoovered properly for a very long time.
The whole building needs a refurbish. Staff were attentive and when i complained they tried to address the problems. However we heard nothing from management.. we will not be returning.
