Padam Boutique Hotel has less than 20 rooms and is located in a very trendy, quiet neighborhood surrounded by restaurants. The hotel is around 1 km from the main square. This old mansion has lots of history and is converted into a small boutique hotel. It is not wheelchair friendly as you have to climb steps to enter the hotel and to get to your room. There is a small check in area and a homey and comfortable sitting area-like a living room. The rooms are on the small size and have average amenities but no plugs near the bed. Internet was free and reliable. Their is an over rated restaurant and a bar/coffee shop attached outside of the hotel. Breakfast is served at the restaurant where small plates of cheese, vegetables, fruit and pastry is served along with made to order eggs and fresh orange juice. Not a bad breakfast. For such a small hotel, the service is awful. The staff at the front desk are extremely unhelpful, not very knowledgeable about Tirana and won't find the answer to your inquiries. They even gave me wrong directions (and also another guest) on the way to the main area of the city. It seems that they don't care. It is such a pity that a hotel that has a good location and history behind it has such poor service. For a hotel that has around 6 rooms, the service and knowledge of the staff should be top quality. The staff should be more accommodating. Sadly to say, there are better options in Tirana.
