We stayed for one night when we visited villa Este gardens. The location was perfect. It’s right in the center of town and walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. The room was spectacular. Very well appointed, clean and welcoming. Champagne and waters in the refrigerator waiting for us. The manager Giovani was amazing!! He met us at our car in the locked parking lot across the street making sure everything was safe and secure. He carried all of our bags up the many steps to our room. The underground pool pictures do not do it justice. The water was nice and warm, and the pool is reserved ahead of time so we were the only people in there. He made sure to attend to our need with towels and bathrobes. The breakfast in the morning was delightful. Mix of meats and eggs and pastries. Aleza(?) the hostess was incredibly charming. She was very attentive at breakfast and made excellent cappuccino. If you’re coming to. Tivoli this is a must place to stay!!

Stiamo ripartendo in questo istante. Abbiamo soggiornato qui stanotte per il compleanno di mio marito. Una location da sogno per chi, c'è noi, ama le residenze d'epoca. Siamo arrivati ieri pomeriggio e abbiamo potuto usufruire della piscina riscaldata (bellissima, tutta in marmo bianco) e dell'idromassaggio in modalità esclusiva.

Gracious host, Giovanni and team and great room, but we were mislead that there was a pool and in fact only a large hot tub area. Also, mislead about the ease to go to Rome ... in fact we spent 3-3:30 hours getting to the station, trains irregular and not frequent and returning. Very disappointing. In terms value, this expensive residence was a poor value for us. The included breakfast was served in a spectacular room, but never a significant change for variety in the 8 days we spent. 5 * room, 2* breakfast

This is not your chain hotel! A mansion from the 16th century with some untouched areas like the walls of the central patio. Staying there is an incredible experience. The breakfast in that beautiful patio was great! The staff was amazing too. Of course this property is not accesible. The pool the owner built underground in the style of the thermal baths of the era is beautiful, but the water temperature was a little cold for us, so we didn't use it. We needed to stop near Rome and Tivoli was perfect. Interesting places to visit, a nice old town and the excellent restaurant, Sibilla, that the staff at Residenze recommended. You won't regret staying there.

Versteckt hinter alten Mauern findet sich eine historische Location, die unvergleichbar ist. Der Service und die Freundlichkeit ist beeindruckend. Dieses Hotel ist etwas ganz besonderes und unbedingt zu empfehlen.

Sent a reservation request through their website. No response after 3 plus days(italian time). Not even something like we're full, maybe other days. Just no response. Very sad, looks like a nice place.

Absolutely splendid place to stay in the charmingly ancient town of Tivoli. The website doesn't work properly, so completely ignore it except for the pictures. The Residenze is a real Renaissance palazzo that was restored by a previous owner as his home, and much of what's there is his delightfully theatrical decorating job. The baths beneath, in the Roman style, he created lovingly from scratch. There are only four suites, and we stayed in the best and most expensive. It consisted of a main room about 25 feet square, with sofa, desk/table, TV, and a restored antique Foosball table! The bedroom is almost the same size, though a modern bathroom takes a slice out of one side, with a chaise longue on a mezzanine above. Both rooms have ceilings that are about fifteen feet high, and are beautifully decorated in period style. The bed was excellent and the AC quiet and effective, important with temperatures in the nineties while we were there. There are shutters on the windows that keep it cool and shady inside, though it is possible to open them. There are two sets of windows that help keep it quiet inside. The Palazzo is built around a beautiful courtyard decorated with shell and marble mosaics and fragrant with star jasmine. Breakfast is served there, a nice continental spread with pastries, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, fresh fruit, meats and cheeses, and toast. It was plentiful and tasty. The staff are all marvelous, available to take care of anything. Just after we arrived and were sitting enjoying a drink in the courtyard, Filippo was offering to make dinner reservations for our two nights. Both restaurants he recommended were excellent and within a ten-minute walk. The hotel has private parking, reached via a long stairway leading to a back exit. The staff will happily help you bring your car around to the front door, where luggage can be handled more easily. Also within an easy walk is the Villa d'Este, one of Tivoli's two main attractions. The other, Hadrian's Villa, is a short drive away. He also recommended we visit the Villa Gregoriana. Despite its name, it's a park that includes the wildly scenic gorge of the Aniene River, with an excellent hike down into the gorge and back up the other side. Both ends are an easy walk from the hotel. Tivoli is well worth visiting for a couple of days, and is about a simple ninety minute drive from Fiunicino Airport. We stayed there our last two days and dropped our car on the day of the flight. It worked out great for an afternoon flight. Our experience at the Residenze Gregoriane was entirely positive. No, it isn't cheap, but it's a very special place where you'll be treated extremely well and it has ameniities few other hotels can offer. I hope to return some day.

Grazie

Four of us stayed for four nights. We found ourselves in spaces of beautiful seventeenth century architecture, frescos, and reliefs. All this was made more delightful by the many kindnesses of Residenza Gregoriana staff. Tivoli is a great place to visit, but for us the RG is the main attraction.
