Downs Motel

I was looking for something cheap and comfortable, so I got a last minute rate, the cheapest I could find with a good rating. The Downs Motel exceeded my expectations. From extra goodies provided in the fridge, to the really spacious shower - I’m sold. For this looking for a comfortable place to rest their head, I definitely recommend this motel. A nice, clean bathroom and those extra amenities that all motels should have (but thy never do) microwave, kettle, toaster and iron. It started heading up today, so I was released to be able to turn the aircon on, as I stepped in. I’ll be back!

We booked online for four rooms as we were up from Melbourne for a wedding. We thought we just booked a budget room but wow were we impressed. Clean, modern rooms fully equipped with cooking station. Pool and billiards all in the recreation area. Perfect for what we needed and great location to town also. Would definitely stay here again

Oaks Toowoomba Hotel

We lived in Toowoomba for many years and chose the Oaks to stay and visit family. We enjoyed a lovely & clean two bedroom suite, great central location with great room service too. Staff were friendly and parking a breeze. We’ll be back!!
City Golf Club Motel

Amazing! Starting with Carla at the front desk. So friendly, welcoming and very helpful, with staff we saw were very friendly. Our upstairs room was clean, tidy and spacious. Kitchenette has tea/coffee facilities, cups, glasses and utensils including a microwave. Bathroom includes shower over bath. Water pressure was fine. Room service available with breakfast and dinner menu, snack selection and beverage menu available in room including Guest Information booklet. Sitting alongside golf course. Parking available and no street vehicle noise. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.
Potters Toowoomba Hotel

Reception here is great. We arrived into Toowoomba and caught up with family before checking in. I didn't realise reception closed at 7pm. I received a call asking whta time I was expected and the receptionist explained that as the office closed at 7pm she would organise for our keys to be left in the night safe. That was really great customer service and we appreciated it. Potters, from the website, looks rather up market, but for us the room was dark and cramped. The bed was super comfortable (better than our bed at home) but the pillows were huge and lumpy. The nice thing about the room was that it had a sliding door that opened to a rather unwelcoming outside area. It was nice to be able to get cool, fresh air into the room though. At night the room was really dark and quiet despite having the sliding door and curtains open (there is a fly wire screen door too). We hadn't factored in that the hotel is right beside a child care centre, that during the week (and to a lesser extent Saturday morning) is quite noisy due to the playing children. This noise starts at around 7.30pm and gets louder and louder until around 9am when the children must go inside to play. It's a happy sound but maybe annoying if you wanted to sleep in. Mind you, if we had had the sliding door shut, most of that noise would be blocked. You can get breakfast here, which I have heard good reports about, but the service finishes at 9.30am so look sharp! This is an okay place to stay, but with no real character. We stayed in a ”deluxe king room”. It wasn't especially deluxe but the bed was a king sized one. I liked how quiet and dark the rooms were at night time, but I will probably look elsewhere for our next stay.
