Staff was friendly, room and common areas were very clean, internet was reliable and quick, breakfast was terrific! Only complaint is the bed covers. They were extremely thin - 2 bedsheets and a very thin blanket. Throughout the night they would slip off or get entangled, so I was waking up to fix them. It interrupted my sleep which is the only reason I am writing this in the review. Otherwise, our stay was terrific!

We did a one nighter staycation! hung around the pool all day, ate at the patio restaurant, that had excellent service and food. Room was fine, balcony was a definite perk, only problem was a tree a little to the left of our balcony....someone had thrown something into the tree, it actually looked like underwear! So we just kind of didn't look that way. Maybe we should have told someone lol, but then what, some poor employee has to take a ladder to a tree to retrieve underwear?? Wasn't going to be us who called. We also hung out later in the evening at the in-door pool. Its awesome the ceiling. A must see! Anyway, all was great. We would stay there again for sure, with the hope someone got that underwear down from the balconies view haha. It's a great hotel.

There were too many negatives to give this hotel a rating over poor. We stayed on the 100-level, which meant there was only one window in one of the rooms and it was at street level so I felt like I was in a basement. The staff did greet us with a smile, which is nice. Staff was not appropriately knowledgeable about the area. For example, we asked how to travel via public transportation to Toronto and was directed to a subway station a couple of miles a way and suggested we take an uber or two busses. We learned on our own that there was a subway station 3/4 of a mile away which we walked to or required a much less expensive uber fare. The bed was fairly comfortable. The bathroom was small and is in great need of a deep cleaning and/or an appearance refresh. We found grime around the rim of the toilet - the kind that accumulates without regular cleaning beneath the rim. I was told at check-in that we would get daily housekeeping. However, on day 2 we did not and that was a huge disappointment. Additionally, the television in the ”living room” was inoperable because it had no sound. When I pay for a hotel, I expect to receive what is in the contract; a bed, operable amenities available and housekeeping promised. The most disappointing aspect was that I had to ask for an adjustment on the bill. Staff was aware of our issues and did not act proactively to offer us financial renumeration. We were given 25% off one night's stay which amounted to less than 10% off our total bill. I think we did not receive 90% of what we paid for and the financial abatement is seriously insufficient. I feel really cheated.
This is a homestay with a great location, close to the subway station and a large supermarket.
The house 🏠 The rooms upstairs and downstairs are almost full. The wooden house stairs are not very soundproof, so you have to walk lightly up and down the stairs. The room facilities are relatively complete, with a shared kitchen, washing machine, and dryer. The bathroom on each floor is shared by each room. The boss is very nice, with pots, pans, and tableware. He also prepared a large bucket of laundry detergent for backup. . . The roommates are all very friendly👍

I recently hosted a conference at the Gibson Ballroom and the staff were incredibly flexible and attentive. Catering was amazing and the event staff made sure our every need was taken care of. I worked with Cathy, Kimia, Alla, and Kuga, and they were all very kind and professional. Despite there being an issue with heating, the hotel made sure proper measures were put in place to solve this issue. The event was a huge success!

GGuest User2023.09.02
I’m a big fan of the Canopy brand in general, but I have a hard time loving this particular Canopy. It seems like it’s designed more to look great than to be great. For example, the electric controls next to the bed are unnecessarily complicated— there’s about 9 buttons to control different lights and shades and things, and it isn’t easily usable. You have to hunt through all of them and try to remember the difference between the sconce light and the halo. It’s needlessly complex and that makes it harder to use. There is also a motion-activated night light under the bed, so if you get up in the middle of the night, it shines a light for you, which isn’t great if your partner if sleeping or even if you yourself want to try to go back to sleep. The night light is hyper sensitive, so it activates even if you just lay in bed and dangle your leg down. And there’s no way to disable it. If you don’t want lights going off every time you get out of bed, you have to shove a pillow under the bed to block the motion sensor or cover up the light. I love the filtered water/ice stations (one of my favorite parts about canopy hotels!) but the ones I used here seemed a lot more temperamental than others. You have to hold your water bottle at exactly the perfect angle before water will dispense, but since there’s no instructions, you have to poke around til you figure it out. There’s no little shelf in the shower stall, so if you bring your own toiletries, you have to either put them on the shower floor or balance them on top of the wall-mounted toiletry bottles. I also didn’t love that there’s no door on the bathroom and only frosted glass around the toilet cubicle. The bed was great — very comfy — and the blackout shades were an excellent touch. Very convenient location, close to the subway. And the decor is beautiful, very sleek and bright. It just all feels like it was designed without any context of how a guest will actually interact with all these things.

Outstanding
ZZHIHUAService, environment, have nothing to say, is a very good hotel, after staying for three days, we went to the United States, always compared with this hotel, all aspects are still good for this hotel, breakfast is all cold, if it is China People can't stand the stomach.
KK CGordonGot to the hotel a little after 9 am as my flight got in earlier than expected. It was raining and cold. Was wondering if they'd have a room that early to give me and yes they did😁😃😄I was checked in immediately and given a room on the 29th floor. Lovely room with a view of CN TOWER. Nothing was lacking. Room was fully equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. All the staff I encountered during my 4 night's stay was very pleasant and helpful. I am looking forward to my next trip to Toronto in August and I will be rebook this hotel for sure. I would definitely recommend staying here. Thanks to everyone there who made my stay there a memorable one.
GGuest UserPark Hyatt Hotel is located in the center of the city. It is very convenient to travel around. There are many kinds of meals around, and there are also many large department stores. The hotel is an old international chain hotel. The service is very good. There is a Chinese reception service. The room facilities are very new. There is a tourist bar on the 17th floor, where you can enjoy downtown Toronto.
NNgMoonI was initially apprehensive about staying in an ”old” hotel, but my worries came to rest. It was similar to a cottage theme with very clean rooms and adequate amentities. Staff were always very friendly, greeting us everytime we leave and return to the hotel, and responds promptly to our housekeeping requests. 10 minutes from the hotel, there is a park with a calming stream, a great place to rest and rewind from the busy city life. Nearest train station is just 5 minutes walk away, and a 30-45 minutes car ride to downtown. Some downsides though, there are no nearby restaurants besides the one in the hotel, and no nearby supermarkets. Utensils were not provided in the room so be prepared to bring your own set. Hotel lifts seem a bit worn out but had not broken down during my stay. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay given the calm surrounding vibes and amazing service. I would consider returning in the future
Mmlo1523Location wise is great 👍🏻 The Novotel Toronto Centre is just steps away from the St. Lawrence Market and Market Gallery, —the heart of the city’s culinary identity for more than a century—legendary architecture, The Distillery Historic District, fabulous shopping area such as Eaton Centre shopping mall and Winners 😃and other must-see attractions..all walking distance especially the union station 🚉 And after a long day exploring Toronto unwind with a glass of wine or a classic cocktail at Café Nicole Bistro&Bar, Great deal for Happy Hour 4pm-6pm

FFrankiepooThe Tv is big and with high resolution. Bed is tidied up neatly and the room is cleaned. Feel comfortable when I walk in the room. There are lotion and facial wash in the bathroom. All the furniture seems simple but great.
GGuest UserI want to start by saying how happy I am that the host let us check in an hour earlier since it starts at 5pm instead of the regular 3pm. This is an Airbnb type of place that requires you to put a $450 deposit for a one night stay which I thought it was very high. The location is amazing, walking distance to the CN tower and restaurants.
It is a very cute place except for the cleanliness. The place was DIRTY. We decided to not use the shower because it was full of mold and hair (picture attached), there was hair everywhere! We saw there was a washer and dryer but the washer was full of towels that yet needed to be dry so we decided not to use. There were stains in the bed sheets so we decided to lay some of our own towels on top to sleep. We also decided to not touch the kitchen because the burner was broken and we did not want to cause a fire or something like that. Over all, it was decent for a one night stay but they need to fire the cleaner because I believe it is an easy fix to be a better place to stay.
LLiang Tian TienThis is a l neighbourhood house setup as a inns with multiple rooms. Room is clean look like renovated the only down side is the house and neighbourhood is run down conditions u will not likely to put up there in first impression. It is convenient to reach the bus and street car or slight walk direct to transit train. The surrounding offers many eating restaurants and especially Chinese food as is Chinatown. If u willing to accept the basic room just for night sleep with the price is a choice.
GGuest UserWhen I booked this it clearly said POOL There was no pool needs to be taken off the website. Room was clean, not enough towels for 4 people. There were only 2. I did not see a problem with breakfast, it was pretty much hot breaky. Sat morning there were home fries, scrambled eggs, bacon ( which needed to be cooked more so I didn't eat it ) There is a machine to make your own waffles, bread for toast and I believe hot dogs ? Muffins ( They were blueberry that is why they looked the way they did, they were not moldy ) juice, coffee, tea. There was no fresh fruit which was disappointing. 1st night wedding was awakened at 2am by the wedding party good thing they went to their rooms and settled down. 2nd night another wedding was at their venue never heard a peep. When we did come back on the Sat around 7 our room keys didn't work. Person at the front desk was apologetic and gave us new ones. Also asked for decafe and he delivered 4 pkgs to our room since there was none at breaky.
GGuest UserLike a youth hostel but not a youth hostel. The location is also very good, just near Chinatown, not far from the University of Toronto, Ito, etc., within walking distance.
The service is good, there are refrigerators and microwave ovens, independent space, simple but complete facilities, the boss is rather cunning, there is a bag that has been stored for more than ten days, and I charged 50 Canadian dollars, but it is actually piled up in the laundry room, which is later than me It is also expensive to store in LA hotels, but they are star hotels. If 30 Canadian dollars is more reasonable.
Generally recommended, there are many delicious Cantonese restaurants nearby, and there is also a vegetable market.
