They had an event that was so loud that I could hear it through my ear plugs and wall on another floor. I called to ask to turn it down and they said there was nothing they could do and it wouldn’t be going all night. The noise did not stop until around 1am and I had to be up by 5am. Poor customer service.

A two nights stay at The Abbey Sands was better than expected as the poor reviews made by others made us a little nervous…nothing to worry about! Friendly staff, great value with a tasty breakfast both mornings. Location was great too…just 2 min walk to the seafront and other bars and shops. We’ll be back.

Had a lovely stay at the Abbey Sands. Stayed for one night as was visiting some friends for the weekend. Lovely, clean facilities and extremely friendly staff. Nothing was too much of an ask. Was also great to see a newly refurbished room. Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to come back soon! Thanks!

Great hotel with friendly staff, lovely big rooms in a fantastic location only 2 minutes walk and you are on the sandy beach. Hotel has plenty of parking and we managed do leave the car and walked to local restaurants and the marina where there are some amazing boats moored, would definitely book again.

Staff were great at this hotel, nothing was too much trouble. Tom stood out to us and really went the extra mile, he is an asset. Breakfast was lovely and the location is excellent. Our bedroom looked newly refurbished, was very clean, had a brand new bathroom recently and could see the sea from our room.

Unfortunately the Abbey Sands Hotel was closed for the winter so we were transferred to the sister hotel which is The Grand Hotel, having said that we had a lovely time there. Would definitely stay there again.

Friendly helpful staff. Room good size clean. Only problems tiolet did not flush very well. Water not very hot for shower. Great location plenty of buses. Easy parking for car.
