"Previously emailed to ask if car parking available and was told yes, car parking on site, arrived to find no car parking and you have to park in a public car park (and pay) up the hill from the hotel. The manager did apologise and waived the £20 early check in fee . Was then advised the England match would be shown in the bar and drinks would be 3 for 2. Got back to the hotel to watch and take advantage to be told by the bar member that the tills were not working and because she couldn’t work out 30% off the drinks they were not offering any 3 for 2 and what did we want her to do about it. Unfortunately poor customer service which isn’t what I would expect and I wouldn’t choose to stay there again."

"The outside of the hotel needs sprucing up, the inside is tired too, but our room was huge. A slight sea view too. The staff were all lovely, breakfast was great too. The location was a pleasant walk away from the Princess Theatre. Plenty of places to eat along the way too."

"We would not visit again, no air-conditioning in rooms, and window only able to open about 4 inches, very warm and hard to sleep, or stay in our room, bathroom even hotter. no wifi in room 107, could access it in the hall way outside room and in bar and reception downstairs. I gave 3 for service as had asked at reception twice about internet reception and they said they would reboot the system and it was unusual as our room was near mainframe. to many dogs staying, did not realise a dog friendly hotel, we like dogs, but would prefer a non dog hotel. I have never written a review like this before. We have stayed at this hotel many years ago. Staff in restaurant and bar very friendly and helpful."

"Nice and clean hotel"

"Room services were very poor. We were there for three nights and the bins were not emptied even once. Nor did we have the tea and coffee facilities topped up at any time during the stay. The corridors were not cleaned and had remnants of a previous hen party paving the way to our rooms. Stray feathers from a boa were a constant existence. The lady who checked us in was not very welcoming either. The car park is a mission away right at the rear of a council owned part of it and is not clearly signposted for guests of the hotel. That said, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the breakfasts and evening meal were excellent and very clean areas. Would I stay there again? Probably not."

"We said here just for 1 night the hotel is in a good location but in need of a good clean and re vamp we are a family of 3 and were placed on the lower ground floor which was quite dark and had a funny smell. There is absolutely no daylight in the room we had and no phone signal at all If I was staying here agin i would ask for a room that’s in a better position"

"Overall an average experience. Not what I expected of a Premier Inn.. Basics were missing. Plus side the room was pretty spacious. Cleanliness of the rooms was ok, but the carpets were old and moldy. The cleanliness at the restaurant was horrible.. Sticky tables and dirty carpets"

"Arrived on Wednesday 1st July after booking the previous Friday. Hosts Pete and Helen make you feel very welcome and have lots of returning guests which speaks volumes. Our room was decorated to a high standard with a comfy bed and a lovely bathroom. Breakfast was first class with lots of options there, something for everyone. The accommodation is only a short walk from the harbour and town centre."

"We pre book the night b4 someone from London rang apparently head office . We made payment as they sent. A email with details . All paid arrived at the hotel saying we havent paid yet shown him proof he said he would sort yet. Another call from London telling us they have gave us the wrong detail .but wants us to pay again .amd said they was issuing a refund. Which to this date we r still waiting . We didn't pay again after 2 man bang on the door asking us to pay or leave ... customer services is shocking there fault for wrong details. Never again shocking service !!!!!!"

"Excellent location! Right next to a museum and a miniature village, plus a 100-year-old railway. There's a theater and a little shop nearby where we'd buy fish and chips almost every day, and a Tesco Express too. We really enjoyed the evening entertainment with singers. The staff were friendly and calm, and the large lobby and bar downstairs were a bonus. I fell in love with this hotel from the photos, and it completely exceeded our expectations. Thank you to the staff!"

"An amazing stay! Lisa was very helpful and accommodating. The B&B was very clean. Breakfast was 10/10. A few minutes walk to the beach, this b&b is situated in a prime position. If you don’t want to go out, the gardens are perfect to sit in. Definitely will be going back later in the year."
