Crofton House Hotel

Hotel looked like they had,nt finished moving in The door to bathroom was draging on the vinyl floor Cable to T V was dangling over the shelf containing the Tea & coffe which was way to low down Steep walk up from sea front Not inclined to return

Wouldn’t call this a 3-star, probably more a 2. So dated, thin walls, super loud, felt dirty and smelt a little funny. Curtains didnt close properly so was light in the morning, carpet was not nice and the walls were peeling. Felt worse than a bedroom at home and was a tiny cupboard for a bathroom. Brilliant location, but would have rathered a travelodge for the same price down the road (was enticed by the outdoor pool when booking, which was closed)

Fabulous hotel, lovely rooms with comfy beds Hassan the host was really welcoming and very kind and thoughtful.. would definitely stay again and recommend.

Friendly welcome. Photos deceptive. Outdoor pool apparently under work but really a mouldy cesspit with no sign of work being undertaken. Room in need of repair. Curtains hanging on by a thread. As I use photos to base my hotel stays, I won’t make the same mistake again. Nowhere to get a drink of any sort, apart from kettle etc in room. If you need a cold drink buy before you stay. Positives: clean sheets, clean bathroom.

After reading some of the reviews, my partner and I were worried about our three day stop. We shouldn't have. Our room was clean and neat, with our own bathroom. Not perfect, of course, but this was only £40 a night for a small double. There is no useable outdoor pool or hot tub, as shown in older photos. However, there is an indoor pool and fantastic sauna and steam room.... I've never had them in a hotel at that price. There was plenty of tea and coffees in the room and a hairdryer, too. No breakfast, but a short walk away is Applebys pub. They do an amazing breakfast starting at 7:30 am. There is free parking at the hotel for 7 cars, but parking is available on the street also. This was a fantastic base for us and walkable to the marina.

The front desk guy was lovely and very helpful,we took the room last minute and for the price literally cannot complain! The rooms are electronic with codes but we wonder if making the codes so obvious to the room numbers is ideal? Bed was comfy it was all clean.curtains need an upgrade ,but for £42for the night with free parking i wouldn't expect anymore than basic! Very friendly welcome!

Advertised with 2 pools, sauna and hot tub. Only the indoor pool was useable but was only 18” deep and freezing cold. Agoda are on the case.

We recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a very pleasant experience. The rooms were nice and comfortable, although a little compact. A few of the drawers in our room were not in the best condition, with the backs coming off, so they could do with some maintenance. That said, Hassan on reception absolutely made our stay. His excellent customer service, friendly manner, and warm welcome were outstanding — honestly worth coming back for alone. He was professional, approachable, and a real credit to the hotel. The hotel itself is in a good, quiet location which made for a relaxing stay, and the lounge area was lovely and very comfortable to sit in. Unfortunately, we didn’t get the chance to look at the pool area during our visit, but overall we enjoyed our stay and would happily return.Hotel also has a small car park and we were lucky to get a space and you can park for free .

We arrived at the hotel for check in, Hassan greeted us and checked us in, gave us all of the information we needed and pointed us in the direction of our room. The code entry for the hotel and room was excellent, just a small code to remember, rather than a key. The room was clean, tidy and had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. The hotel's sauna, steam room and indoor swimming pool was a lovely bonus and we did use it everyday. The outdoor pool wasn't available as it isn't summer. The hotel also had a lovely garden and outdoor seating and tables and an indoor communal lounge, pool table and darts. Hassan was so friendly and welcoming, always taking the time to make sure we were ok, thank you Hassan for a lovely stay.
