The Heritage Hotel

Nice location, no issues parking. Hotel rooms are a little tired and dated, but comfortable. Staff are lovely

There are several issues with this hotel, Firstly there is no sauna, nor jacuzzi as shown in photo's, Parking is a bit of a nightmare as contractors use the hotel so lots of vans. this car park being my view from the room, ford transit vans wonderful! I have just finished a weeks stay, my main issue is with the absolutely DREADFUL lumpy and soft beds having not slept very well all week, I arrived home and have just slept for 12 hours. I am suffering from severe back pain caused by the hotel bed, The television didn't work or any sky / channels needs you to enter your own pass words etc. why can't they do this? The food is just ok, Just cheap pub grub, the English breakfast being extremely oily i wonder if the chef (haha) is from the navy, the coffee is barely drinkable could be improved. A couple of times the bar staff was extremely kind and made better coffee for me. Another issue was with cleaning being carried out at 2pm in the morning, just above my room in the bar, furniture being moved around and then hovering, this happened for over an hour. Other than this the workers in the bar are helpful, and polite. The hotel was clean, just the normal issues you'll find in all hotels in Britain. The sheets were changed once but seeing i had to sleep on top of the sheets not a problem The floor was very squeaky to say the very least, every foot fall squeak! soon the floor will collapse as they have constructed the floor with the wrong material (chipboard) I don't like giving hotels low marks as this can cause issues, but with this hotel i have given the hotel an average mark as they could improve wtih a bit care and attention

Fabulous views, lovely rooms and friendly staff, excellent food and close proximity to beach. Our stay was a little disrupted by workmen doing maintenence work, which we were warned of on arrival but still meant the lovely breakfast views we had booked for were not available. Walls were thin so could hear arguments into the early hours.

Decided to head to Torquay at the last minute for a night away, just picked a reasonably priced hotel and hit the jackpot. Friendly staff in reception, handy location and the room and it’s view were great. The breakfast the next morning was really nice as well! Definitely going to be my go to hotel when I stay in Torquay from now on!

Amazing hotel , some mould on ceiling above shower but shower had amazing pressure Cleaners left my door unlocked after cleaning which I was a bit disappointed by

What a lovely hotel staff first class amazing room and breakfast was first class cant wait to return Best hotel in torquay with amazing views parking excellent close to all shops and bars swimming pool a must

Lovely view, meals were good but like many old English properties getting up the stairs with large suit cases was a struggle (we are a bit older & travelling from Australia). Really loved it, the staff were friendly & helpful. Convenient to beach & Torre Abbey.

Clean, tidy and views impressive over the bay.
