The Osborne Hotel

Superb building in a perfect location for us. We were in a room with a wonderful sea view to wake up to every morning. Breakfast was a very high quality and gave us a great start to the day. Overall the hotel is very clean and every facility will used appears to be maintained to a good standard. Our room was very spacious compared to many other hotels rooms I have stayed in. The bathroom was definitely larger than average and included a good size shower, with plenty of hot water at a good pressure. Even when the other taps were used, the shower seemed to carry on totally unaffected. A couple of small details that would have improved our stay. A working lift, during our visit it was out of order. But this didn't spoil our stay. The other detail would be a small stool ( or similar) in the bathroom. All staff came across as friendly, approachable and helpful, they all seemed keen to ensure that we enjoyed our stay at The Osborne. We took a walk around some of the grounds which all appeared to be very well maintained. We also walked out of the grounds and across the bay at Meadfoot, its a great location to stroll and enjoy the fresh sea air. Would we stay here again? Definitely, we have already discussed our next visit.

Staffs are friendly and all of the hotel was nice if I plan to trip to Torquay again Im booking the same hotel

Spent two happy nights at the Osborne during a wild winter storm over New Years. Beautiful, historic hotel built in 1838, looking out over Meadfoot Beach, with elegant rooms and a lovely restaurant. The food was delicious, and the staff very accommodating. A very pleasant stay indeed.

There is absolutely nothing luxury about this hotel. It’s dirty, broken in a lot of places and very overpriced. Staff not interested at all. Food was a disgrace. I cannot accept that this place is advertised as Torquays finest luxury hotel. The headland and surrounding hotels are far superior and staff all well trained.

What a lovely Mother’s Day with family! The view was superb and the service and food excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful especially as we had a a 9 Month old with us. We had a roast dinner which was good value, with a great selection of starters and sweets. Would recommend to anyone who wants a special day experience

Just back from our 5th stay at this hotel and it keeps getting better, the food was amazing both morning and evening and our room had a great view of the bay - and the storm lashing the water . It is the staff who make this place though, we were looked after wonderfully Jason , Matt, Becky and especially Bella who really lit up the place. Already planning our next stay.

I attended a Birthday party in the events room which was an ideal venue. Good friendly staff and an excellent Breakfast next day. Well appointed comfortable room.
