Lincombe Hall Hotel & Spa - Just for Adults

Exceeded expectations on all levels. Refurbished room was beautiful, spacious & spotlessly clean. Staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. Lovely spa. Excellent cocktails. Delicious breakfast. Highly recommend.

Great location, staff were friendly, polite and professional. Spa is lovely, with a terrace for sunbathing. Unfortunately found it hard to understand why we had to pay £15 per night for the privilege of parking at the hotel when we'd already paid over £300 per night for the stay and use of the spa. Dining Hall menu is very limited and disappointing!

Our afternoon tea on the terrace was wonderful, the food was delicious and we were well looked after by a gentleman called Leo. Clarissa on reception today was lovely as well Katie on reception yesterday evening when we booked. Thank you all for a very pleasant afternoon, we will definitely return.

Had an awful experience not relaxing at all had to stand around the pool with drinks food wasn’t to a good standard stale sandwiches not worth the £180 I paid although the one good thing was the treatment I had . Would I return unfortunately not

This is my third time visiting the spa, this time it has seriously gone downhill. Not enough chairs/loungers for the amount of visitors they allow in. So left to have welcome drinks standing up in the spa. Afternoon tea was disappointing. Sandwiches obviously prepped well in advance bread was stale on top. Cream cheese and cucumber was awfully bland. Crab with chicken and avocado- where was the crab? But also weird combination. Duck bonbon filled with watery bland mash🤢. Sweet treats on top were nothing to rave about. Overall very disappointing and wouldn’t return. No clean hand towels left in bathroom, the basket was overflowing with dirty ones. Disappointed overall.

We selected the Signature room and this hotel based on the photos on your website. It showed a very large room and very large bathroom. We paid extra over the Classic room based on the significantly larger room shown in the photos. The room we were given was much smaller than the photos. When we queried this with Reception it was explained that our room was bigger than a Classic. We appreciate there will be some variation in room size in an older hotel but there was a massive difference between the photos and reality which felt we had been misled. We asked about the room in the photos and were told this room had now been refurbished so was no longer a Signature room. This was disappointing as was the initial handling of our complaint. In the end we paid extra for a larger room. After this, everything else was good.

I have visited this hotel twice with my husband and have always had lovely rooms. This time, I visited with my mum and we were so disappointed with our room. I wanted to show my mum what a lovely hotel this is, but we must have had the worst room in the whole hotel (room 20) and I felt really let down. There’s an extractor fan below the window and all night we could smell kitchen/fat smells. I didn’t sleep a wink all night as this smell made me feel so nauseous on top of being ill which was really frustrating. The view is horrible, directly onto a fire escape, and a staff member came out the door onto it and looked straight into our window as we were getting changed! We didn’t mind that it was small. I tried to cancel this booking 3 days before we came as I’m not well but was told that we couldn’t due to Ts&Cs. I do understand this, and we thought we’d come anyway as we’re local so could just drive home if I felt unwell (nothing contagious). However, after I enquired whether the breakfast costs were also unrefundable (I can’t eat much at the moment), our whole booking was cancelled by the general manager! I didn’t ask for this to happen! So I called up and luckily could reinstate our booking. This didn’t feel very kind or thoughtful, particularly as I had told him that I’m unwell. All of the other staff at this hotel are lovely, particularly the girls on reception. The guy behind the bar was super friendly too. The decor is beautiful and the food is excellent. The spa is my favourite spa in this area and I’ve visited them all! All of the eating areas and lounges are amazing. I know that you’re up for sale and I hope that the new owners keep the lovely staff and retain the wonderful spa. We will return as it’s so nice to have a local hotel to go to for a night and day of relaxation. However, I will definitely ask not to be in room 20. It really was horrible.

We have just returned home from our 4th stay at this fabulous hotel and we will be returning again in the future. The hotel is clean throughout,with well equipped rooms and excellent food options for breakfast and dinner. The staff are always so professional, efficient, curtious and so friendly, they are a credit to this hotel. All the staff are amazing but a special mention to Amy , Ade , Leo , Sheldon and Kate for their outstanding customer service. Thank you for another wonderful stay and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
