Good location and poor facilities

great hotel. 5 nights. quiet room. good bedding. Great varied breakfast. Toulouse to discover on foot. excursions to Albi and Carcassonne. air conditioning Ok.

Very nice. Very central. Impeccable staff. Very nice room maybe the bathroom could improve but overall ok.

The Hotel is very well located, with many restaurants, bars and metro station very close by. Several tourist points of interest in the city can be easily reached on foot. But the Hotel does not live up to its 4-star rating. The size of the room is small, the bathroom is small and dated and there are still visible maintenance problems, such as broken security locks on the door and window. I liked the service during check-in. A positive point was having its own garage, in the basement of the Hotel.

Accustomed, for more than 20 years, to staying at the Mercure Wilson during my visits to Toulouse, I had reserved, with complete confidence, two months in advance, a room for two nights. This stay went badly. Although having completed the "fast check out" form the day before and having received a good reception email, I was surprised to be greeted freshly by a person who told me that no room was available. 'had been booked in my name and she couldn't offer me a room. I had to insist and present her with the email acknowledging receipt of my "fast check out" for her to find my reservation... which had only been recorded with the last three letters of my name. These ten wasted minutes could certainly have been quickly forgotten if the rest of the stay had gone normally. Unfortunately, this was not the case; In fact, we noticed that the toilet did not flush. There is no need to dwell on the consequences.... We reported this difficulty the next morning to the person at reception, asking them to remedy it. This did not seem to move him much and, returning to our room in the evening, we found that nothing had been done. Hence a second night in the same conditions (evacuation of the toilet using the trash can as a water container and pouring it into the bowl). Such a situation is unacceptable in a hotel.

Under the pretext of ecology, the small bottles of mineral water free of charge in the rooms (before...) have been removed; two water fountains (on the ground floor and on the 1st floor) have been installed. Who are we laughing at ? ONLY ONE room has separate WC and it is not even possible to reserve it! on arrival it's the lottery: if it's available, it's won! The only real strong point: the parking lot under the hotel. We are disappointed by the declining services in this hotel and also in the MERCURE chain. if nothing changes, we will not come back (we have been loyal customers of this establishment for several years)
