家族と青森ドライブ旅行の初日に宿泊しました。 八甲田の大自然の中に位置する、山小屋風の素朴な温泉宿と言うのが第一印象でした。 源氏の間と言う、嘗て瀬戸内寂聴さんが執筆の為長期逗留したと言う由緒ある部屋に一泊しました。 風呂は全面木張りの湯治場を思いおこす雰囲気のある温泉♨️ですが、男湯女湯を時間帯で入れ替える方式でした。 なんと言っても、岩魚や地元産食材を使った夕食がとても美味しく、青森の地酒が豊富に取り揃えてありました。 翌日早朝の出発の為、朝食は弁当にしてもらいましたが、これが又美味しく、途中の道の駅で有難く頂きました。 建物は古く、屋内も段差が多く、決して快適とは言えませんが、美味しい料理と素朴な心地良さに星⭐️4つです。

にごり湯で上の湯、下の湯、あがり湯と異なるらしいです
温度が適温で長湯できます
トイレは共同です
電波入らないです
ロビーでWi-Fi使えますが、弱め
お食事はボリュームあります
鴨鍋が美味しかったです
大きなイワナ出てきます
奥入瀬クラフトビールのピルスナーがオススメです、ワインはないです
日曜日でも混んでたので人気のお宿ですが、
小さなお子様連れの方は向いてないと思います。
青森市内から1時間くらいです

歴史あるお宿ですので、年季ははいってます。不便も歴史・ 環境を感じる要素。
1つ改善されるといいと思ったのは浴場の明るさです。滑る等注意書きがされているにも関わらず、かなり近寄らないと読めないほど暗いのはどうかな、と。注意書きが読みやすいものに変わればいいのかもしれないですが。

強い酸性と言おう臭い温泉は私はちょっと苦手ですね。建物は山小屋といってもいいような旅館です。趣はあるのですが、泉質が私には合いませんでした。
