Nice little ryokan. The highlight is the owner who speaks excellent english and is very eager to help and take photos of the guests. The room was a bit small, could have done with some renovations, but it was cozy and very centrally located (although the town is very small) and close to the onsen. The service was good. The food was average.

Lovely ryoken experience. The owner speaks excellent English and is very welcoming and helpful, although the other staff (while also really kind and helpful) don't speak much English. A one-night stay is probably enough for Kinosaki Onsen - the town is largely souvenir shops and eating places. This inn offers dinner and breakfast in your room, and you get the full Japanese meal experience. Our room was fine for 3 people but would have been a squash for four. The ryoken has a small onsen, but most people would go out to one of the public ones. Yukata are provided and many people wear them out around the town in the late afternoon and evening. A great stop in our trip.

Hachisuka san and his family were incredible hosts. The food was so elegantly prepared and delicious. Loved the private onsens at night as well as the public ones Kinosaki town (definitely check out onsen #1). Really enjoyed our 2 night stay to make the most of the trip here. English only speakers may have a little bit of trouble communicating but overall everything was very smooth. When you arrive, they let the ladies choose a yukata to wear the rest of the stay. Hachisuka san is VERY enthusiastic about taking photos for you. Unrelated but Mr. Bean also stayed here in 2019.
