Kinosaki Onsen Nishimuraya Hotel Shogetsutei
"A very nostalgic and cosy place. The room is spacious and futon beds was comfortable. Only tried the breakfast which is simple and so so only."
Yuraku Kinosaki Spa & Gardens
"Amazing place. I really enjoyed my stay here and hope to come back again soon."
Onishiya Suishoen
"Everything was perfect! Very tasty crab dinner, excellent staff and cleanliness everywhere. I recommend it"
Kawaguchiya Kinosaki Riverside Hotel
"My group of four friends had a very good stay at this hotel. It is very well maintained, located in a great location and provides great service. I previously stayed here with my family in end 2024. It is still as good."
Akaishiya
"Everything is perfect and relaxing as we wanted! We escaped from the city. We love this hotel. Blend of modern and traditional style. Very clean and spacious. The receptionist I forgot his name and he spoke very well in English and he made us feel at home. Very patience to explain everything and help us how to wear Yukata, a formal attire in Kinosaki. And just 12 minutes walk from the station."
Sennennoyu Koman
"We arrived around noon on a rainy day. Luckily, there was a shuttle bus in front of the train station. You can tell the driver that you staying at this hotel and they will drop you in front of the hotel. the hotel also provides the flree drop-off at the train station. the room is very good with plenty of space and private toilet and bathroom. The onsen at the hotel even though small is very good ambience. Both dinner and breakfast are excellent. the service is beyond expectation!!!! Location is excellent as well. Recommend this hotel to everyone."
Asagiriso
"Wonderful place to stay with wonderful staff. You are able to try the onsens near the hotel for free. Driving is highly reccomended"
Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Kinosaki
"This is the highlight of our trip ! The room is spacious with nice river view . The buffet is the most satisfying meal my son has in Japan !"
Kinosaki Yamamotoya
"General impression: This is a super decent house with an excellent view of the kinosaki village. You could feel the management put lots of efforts to maintain the best comfort of every guest and the whole team operated under warm & effective process. While we are having breakfast or dinner in the dining area, their staff make a very efficient turn to change our yukata, towels, bottles of water, making up mattress on our room. That impressed us so much! Onsen quality: The onsen inside the house is well managed and run until mid night. We can go outside with the free pass of public onsens, but we also enjoy ourselves in the in-house onsen because of more accessories provided there. You can feel the onsen owner care about guests more than the public onsens outside. Dining experience: We enjoyed the half board experience for 2 nights, especially the 2nd night with the tajima beef sukiyaki. The flavors & taste feed us well. Though breakfast is a bit simple, but we could make up some room in our stomach to enjoy snacks or ice-cream in the village. My friend & I would definitely give 5 star rating to Yamamotoya, and will recommend our friends to visit you again."

"It was …"
Kinosaki Tajimaya
"Choosing a Ryokan for our 2 night stay in Kinosaki Onsen was difficult. We were so delighted with our choice. Tajimaya is a small property so it's quiet and intimate. You can spend a lot more in this town and we were delighted with our experience versus price point. As a non Japanese the whole thing can be a bit daunting but the staff took care to make us feel comfortable and welcome while enjoying every bit of this special experience. We loved the private baths and wandering the town in our beautiful Yukata. We were fortunate to visit during cherry blossom and it was a delight to be out at night experiencing the magic at night. No two meals were the same and one night was my husband's birthday and that was beautifully acknowledged."
Kinosaki Tenboen
"We stayed at the hotel in October 2024. We took two rooms for two. Pros: 1. Magnificent rooms in the style of a classic ryokan: everything is very beautiful, authentic, lots of small details, notes and tips for guests, interesting trinkets in the room. We had beds, not futons, but this is not a minus - the beds are very comfortable. The view from the room (3rd floor) is of the mountains. The cleanliness is perfect, the room has everything that should be in a classic ryokan room: from tatami to a low table for relaxing. 2. Incomparable kaiseki dinner. Excellent sukiyaki breakfast (you cook it yourself). 3. The most beautiful interiors of the hotel, it is interesting to walk around it, exploring it from the inside. The hotel is beautiful from the outside too. 4. You can smoke in the rooms (we did not do this, and the rooms are not smoked at all). There is a smoking room at the entrance to the hotel. 5. Wonderful staff. All requests and complaints are satisfied within minutes. They speak English poorly, but it's not a problem, we communicated through a translator. The guys are cool, cheerful. Quick check-in, a bunch of reminders about where and when to come / what and how to do correctly. 6. There is a private onsen (we did not use it). 7. They give a free pass to 7 public onsen. They give discounts on souvenirs. 8. They give excellent yukatas for onsen, for women - they will give beautiful ones, the choice is huge. Nuances: 1. The only downside of the hotel is the distance from the center of Kinosaki (15-20 minutes walk through not very beautiful places). But! There is a free transfer from the hotel to the city center, plus there is a transfer station-hotel-station. And the walk from the hotel to the center of Kinosaki did not bother us much. 2. This is not a business hotel, so there is no washing machine, iron or shower in the room. The shower (and in fact - onsen) is shared on the minus first floor - separate for men and women."
Kinosaki Onsen Ichidaya
"บรรยากาศดีมากค่ะ Good"
Sinonomesou
"The foreigner staffs are good."
Tsutaya Ryokan
"Tsutaya Ryokan is a beautiful old building with a calming atmosphere that evokes nostalgia. Mr. Nakai was very friendly and attentive. He was very knowledgeable, providing us with information about hot springs and hints about the next day's destinations, which was very helpful. The meal was a kaiseki course meal, and the crab was delicious. The breakfast was light, with boiled tofu and grilled fish, so we ended up eating too much. This is an inn that makes you want to return. Thank you for your hospitality."
Sensui
"I've been staying at this inn every crab season for the past four or five years, and I absolutely adore the food, atmosphere, and staff. That's why the recent incident is more than just shocking. We had made a reservation for 7:30 PM, which allows you to choose your dinner time in advance. However, just before 2 PM on the day itself, we suddenly received a one-sided message: "Due to snow, dinner will start at 6 PM." We were already in the middle of a teppanyaki lunch course. Naturally, they couldn't respond immediately, so we hung up the phone and tried again after arriving at the inn. However, the reasons they gave us were: 1) another guest canceled; 2) the staff wouldn't be able to return home late at night due to freezing. Honestly, neither of these were of any concern to us. We were also worried about the weather, checking the forecast multiple times the day before and taking the bus instead of driving, taking every precaution to come to Kinosaki. It's completely unacceptable that the inn, which is supposed to be familiar with Kinosaki's climate, didn't know the weather until 2 PM on the day itself. What's even more disappointing is that it was the young proprietress who handled this situation. "The staff member suddenly stopped coming, and that's why I'm here now!" he said, almost losing his temper. From start to finish, he showed no sign of understanding my circumstances or feelings, insisting, "It's not possible." The worst part was, "I'll check with other guests to see if the time can be changed and contact you on your cell phone." He explained that it would take time to check with seven groups. Despite telling them, "It's okay, I'll wait," he never contacted me. He completely ignored me. I was touring the outdoor baths, but feeling uneasy, I returned to the inn just before 6 p.m., where the owner answered. "Huh? Did they contact you?" ...No, they didn't. There was no call history. Honestly, I was amazed at how one person's emotional response could destroy so much trust. ¥140,000 per night isn't everything. However, for an inn in this price range, the way this inn handled this experience was extremely disappointing. However, I want to make one thing clear: the staff who take care of me every year, the head chef, the owner, and the other staff members are all truly wonderful. Their smiles, attentiveness, and delicious food are all top-notch, which is why I've been coming here for so many years. The president took this incident very seriously and said, "What happened can't be helped, but we will consider how to prevent the same thing from happening again." I truly felt that it was good that he was in charge. That's why I feel even more disappointed. The only thing that was truly disappointing was the young proprietress's response. I chose to write this honestly because I loved this inn. I sincerely hope that things will improve."
Uminone
"The beach is beautiful and the snorkel and canoeing was amazing! Many kind people at Uminone. We had a beautiful time there! I wish I had a kettle and water in my room. It was so hot! But the sea water was perfect for cooling down."
Hotel Kinparo
"Upon arrival, the hotel gave us 2 free tickets for aquarium next to the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful with parking valet and our luggage. The room we were in had an amazing view and it is spacious. It’s a Japanese style room and the staff had to come to put out futon for us around dinner time. Communal bath is big with an outdoor onsen. We noticed that they use salt water in the bath and onsen instead of chlorinated water like many other onsen hotel we have stayed in the past. There are 2 restaurants in the hotel but they open rather late at 7 and 8 pm so we didn’t get to try them. Breakfast were the same the whole we stay but they are pretty decent so there is no complaints. I would consider this to be one of the best hotel we have stayed during our trip there."
Okukinosaki Seaside Hotel
"Above all, the full course crab meal was amazing, and it was really nice to be able to enjoy the beautiful view of the Sea of Japan. The service from all the staff was also very warm and wonderful. Also, the baths have been renovated, and the atmosphere is great, and the open-air baths are surrounded by nature, which was nice."
Kyukamura Takeno-Kaigan
"I stayed in a twin room on the third floor facing the ocean on October 8th. The room was spacious enough, and the two high-back chairs were very comfortable. It was my first time to experience a table that doubled as an air purifier. To get to the hot spring bath on the first floor, you take the elevator dedicated to the hot spring. Meals were served in the restaurant on the first floor. Dinner was a kaiseki dinner, and breakfast was a buffet."
Riverside Maruyama
"I think it's a Japanese-style auberge in a wonderful location along the Maruyama River. The rooms on the second floor have a river view. There is a toilet in the room, and there are three private baths with amenities. You can relax and enjoy your meals in a private room on the first floor. The Tsuiyama Crab Course includes crab sashimi, grilled crab, tempura, and rice porridge at the end. The vegetables are fresh and very delicious. The staff are all friendly and helpful. I've been here several times, but the last time I went, the sash in my room creaked in the wind all night and woke me up several times. I was too sleepy to drive for nearly four hours with lack of sleep, so I took a nap for about an hour at the roadside station "Mahoroba" and finally made my way home. I told the innkeeper that I couldn't sleep because of the noise from the sash, but he said, "I'll fix it." I think they should fix it before they make it impossible to sleep."
Tsubakino Ryokan
"Very nice place to stay and serve very delicious dinner."
Shinzan Kinosaki
"Very good place to stay, the hotel is brand new and looks like a traditional ryokan in modern style. The staff are very supportive and polite. The hotel has its own onsens which we liked the most in Kinosaki (we had pass for public onsens included in price)! Kaiseki there was a special experience! Location is a little far from the station (about 15-20 minutes walk) but the transfer solves this problem if you have heavy luggage :) This hotel is highly recommended for sure!"
Kinosakinoyado Ryokufukaku
"Perfect hotel"
Tokiwa Bekkan
"A stunning ryokan with its own onsen and rotenburo. The garden views from the rooms are stunning! They have everything you need and more: mini facial treatments, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hair oil, and a few other skincare products. The onsen also has everything you need, plus body cream and moisturizing lotion. In addition to its own onsen, the ryokan provides access to public onsen in the village. The kaiseki dinner was amazing! Everything was delicious and plentiful."
Yamayoshi
"I want to stay there again."
