GGuest UserOur favourite booking throughout our entire Japan trip! This inn is a family business so you can imagine how hospitable the entire family was to us this 2D1N. Regretted not staying 1 more day as the entire village was very relaxing. Room is super clean, yukata was provided for us to visit the public baths, access to all 7 public baths provided as well. We have everything we need with this inn! There’s also a private onsen in the hotel and the host was very helpful and nice about everything. He even went out of his way to send us to & fro the Kinosakionsen station… thank you so much we had fun and enjoyed it! Will definitely stay here again. <3
GGuest UserNot far from Kinosaki Station, reachable within 10 minutes, only 100m on the left side street of the city; there are various yukatas to choose from when shopping (close up + feel old and faded, the same style as some hotels (vest jacket contrasts with the gap). The shop is always old inside, and it is surprising that there is a lack of USB plugs in this era. The dinner for two nights is ordinary, with a few crab legs (not fresh enough), and the sashimi fish meat is actually ribbed, but the sashimi restaurant at the corner of the street is flat and delicious! The room is full of meat smell when eating ta tami in the treasure room, and the smell of meat is also everywhere when sleeping. I also found that Japan, especially here, also employs many foreign workers. My sister said that she has been here for 10 months from Vietnam, and she is full of smiles. There is still room for improvement.
Ddari_snWe stayed at Onishiya Suishoen in September 2025. It was our first experience, and we were absolutely delighted!
The rooms and the ryokan itself have incredibly beautiful traditional interiors, impeccably clean, and a light, pleasant scent of incense. There's a cozy sitting area overlooking the garden, perfect for relaxing.
The food is a whole other story! We booked a room with dinner and breakfast included. The portions seemed small, but the variety of dishes meant we were completely full on both days. Kaiseki may be a bit unusual for some, but it's a unique experience. Everything is fresh, filling, and incredibly delicious.
Special thanks to the staff! We were a little worried about the language barrier, but our concerns were unfounded. The staff is incredibly friendly and always willing to help. The girl who greeted us upon arrival, although she didn't speak English very well, was incredibly sweet and gave us a clear, brief tour (using both gestures and a translator 😆). A nice touch was the Russian-language instructions.
My friend and I visited the onsen at the ryokan early in the morning, so it was practically private 👍
I definitely recommend this ryokan. The price-quality ratio is excellent, the service is impeccable, and the atmosphere is magical. I'd be thrilled to return on my next trip!
GGuest UserConvenient location, 1 minute away from the train station, with a small convenience store downstairs.
The service is attentive and polite. Basically all of them speak Japanese. There are English-speaking waiters, so communication is not a problem. The several private baths are well-equipped and clean. There is free water and ice bars in the rest area.
We provide beautiful yukatas for wearing outside.
One night, two meals, dinner and breakfast are above standard.
GGuest UserGreat ryokan, the staff are incredibly kind. They will take good care of you. They have a private onsen, which is a plus. The rooms are large, clean, and traditional. You can still have a Western-style bed if you prefer. Very well located, very close to the train station so you can quickly drop off your luggage. They provide a yukata, geta, and an unlimited pass so you can enjoy the onsen as much as you like.
小小兔媽媽Matsuya is very quiet and very ”Japanese style” authentic hotel to stay! They operate the hotel very traditionally which is great for me - love to experience the indifference. And the meals are the superstar!!! You will never be disappointed with the quality and quantity of the food they provide! Big Big thumbs up to the chefs!!! And finally weird enough to say,the hot spring they have in the hotel is way better than the famous seven onsen people usually comes to the town to visit for! I super recommend people just go to experience hot spring in the hotel rather than bringing your belongings to try out those famous ones outside😆
VVT_BTThe hotel is near to the train station, just 5 to 10 mins walk. The room was clean and tidy. Toilet seat, water basins, refrigerator, hot water boiling machine were provided. Staff prepared the Japanese beds for us in the evening. There were a sitting room, book reading areas, smoking room inthe.public area. Private session for private onsens were provided. A free of charge card for the seven hot springs and city bus was provided. The staff were nice and helpful. The environment was quiet and the beds were comfortable.
GGuest UserA lovely hotel and wish to revisit, the room are fantastic, it's good combination between western and Japanese style with big room and bed. Also including complimentary of all drink in fridge (both water and alcohol drink). Although the staff could not communicate in English, but they are pleased to help us. There is free shuttle bus to public bath area. Breakfast is also delicious and beyond our expectation.
Ttravel-with-meWe had a fantastic stay at this Ryokan. The staff were so attentive and welcoming (Thanks to our room attendant, Suzan) We arrived a little earlier than check in but we could go up to the room and were provided with tea. The room was beautiful and the beds were prepared when we were eating dinner. We were shown how to wear the yukata and even had welly boots for the rainy weather. The food was the highlight, fresh seasonal ingredients (crab!) which was displayed like a piece of art. I wish we stayed longer, well worth the money!
TTok1970The room is super big, 2 super single bed, one dining table and one Japanese style dining area.
The hotel and the facility is very old but the stuff is very polite and provide good service with smiles.
The location is very far from the station and is so isolated but if you are driving a car then can consider to stay there.
Overall, I am quite satisfied and have a pleasant stay
