Grand Hotel Tremezzo

Everything about our stay (2nd time) at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo was fabulous. Our room was stylish and comfortable with gorgeous lake views. The grounds are beautiful, and we loved sitting by the pool on the garden side. But what made our stay so wonderful was the staff. Every staff member we met was professional, polite, friendly, helpful, and genuinely interested in making our stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible. We stayed 5 nights and felt so pampered that we were very sad when it was time to leave. We cannot wait to return to gorgeous Lake Como and the wonderful hospitality of the Grand Hotel Tremezzo!

My husband and I went to the spa today and each had hair treatments of Rossano Ferretti’s excellent products of which we are long term customers of their hair treatment line. We both had haircuts by Guilia which were truly superb. She is very talented and should be recognised for her professional and efficient services and the excellent results. The manager Natalie Monti was of great service and gave a very friendly and professional reception We will make a point of returning to the spa and haircut facilities whenever in the region.

Ordinarily shld be superb but a couple of comments. To not have an electric charger for a car in the garage and not have current News papers. Only those of yesterday and moreover even tho’ we are dining and using the spa, not available unless you have a room. A wonderful hotel with much potential. Donato was very helpful but constrained by the rules.

It is so extremely classy and everything is so fantastic!

Very disappointing stay considering paying up to Euro 1500/ ++ per night F&B - 2 out of 3 restaurants are booked for event and not available to guest - Food quality is subpar (from breakfast to dinner) Spa - Spa is fully booked for the entire weekend (no slots reserved for in house guests), we asked during booking whether spa needs to be book ahead and was assured availability upon arrival - Heated pool temperature is lukewarm at most Room - Sound proof in bedroom is very poor, you can hear every car passing from the street to other rooms closing or opening their electric curtains - Size is small compare to other top tier hotels in Como

This was my second time staying at Grand Hotel Tremezzo and it did not disappoint! The setting and location is really unbeatable with amazing lakeside views and impressive facilities/spa/swimming pools. Beautiful bedrooms, food (the breakfast spread is really incredible) and service throughout. Special shoutouts go to the staff at La Terrazza/breakfast service - every single team member we encountered was friendly and attentive. The only downside to the hotel is that it is very large and "public" so lots of non-staying guests come in and out of the property. It's a bit of a destination hotel with a destination restaurant, so in that case it doesn't feel as intimate or personal as other hotels (e.g. its sister property Passalacqua). Two complaints during this stay: 1. I was there on a Friday to Sunday weekend - on both nights there were 2 separate wedding receptions which meant that the pool facilities were closed off to hotel guests from 4pm onwards. Not great for the regular hotel guests that aren't part of the wedding parties but who have paid a fortune to have a nice stay and relax at the facilities (not great that this happened consecutively over both nights as well as it did cut down on the pool time I would've liked to have had). 2. One male staff member at T Bar was extremely rude and treated my family as if we were random riff-raff visiting the hotel. He did apologise eventually after he found out we were actual overnight hotel guests and his manager and another lovely female staff member "allowed" us to sit down for a drink in the lounge. We should've been "allowed" to sit in the lounge anyway..... It was very strange behaviour and I think borderline racist to be honest (I am Asian). This was despite the fact that I speak fluent Italian and I originally spoke to him in Italian (very politely btw).
