Hotel Bazzoni
"Clean, Good location and service"
B&B Garzola
"Soundproofing is nonexistent, given the typical but inevitably dated furnishings. The windows are very thin, and the apartment overlooks the parking lot and the street, making it noisy. The lake view is very beautiful, but I had to wear earplugs to sleep."
Hotel Lario
"I had read some awful reviews before coming so was a bit worried about what we should expect. Thankfully it was nowhere near as bad as other reviewers have found, in our opinion. Let’s start with the food. It was a bit hit and miss. There were some lovely dishes which funnily enough were the pasta dishes, especially lasagne and meatballs. Wish we had a pasta option every night. However one night we had pork, a few fries and lettuce! Oh dear…that wasn’t good. Breakfast was fine, but generally the same everyday. Some extra pastries and yoghurts would be nice. The staff were excellent in general. All friendly and loved it when you complimented the food. I had asked for a balcony and lake view, with a higher floor. We were put on floor 4. Great view of the lake but not a usable balcony as it was more an outdoor space where you couldn’t sit. Was very disappointing but the view was fantastic. Our tv was supposed to have bbc 1 and 2. Wouldn't normally bother but we wanted to watch the world cup matches. Took 4 days to fix with a reminder. Still not great reception and was so small, it wasn't worth it in the end. The lift broke, took 2 days to fix, but i guess that is Italy. The hotel isn’t very central but has some conveniences nearby and a bus stop. The bus times are estimates due to the busy road. But the C110 takes you to Menaggio in 10 minutes, worth giving it a go. We didn’t find the noise a problem, it wasn’t too loud. Would we go again, probably not but that is down to location. If there were more amenities nearby we would be happy to. The room was large as was the bathroom, great space. There was a kettle too. Not all power points worked which was annoying but we managed."
La Darsena Boutique Hotel & Restaurant
"Located in Tremezzo, a quieter part of Lake Como, we enjoyed a relaxing stay. It was only a three-minute walk from the Tremezzo ferry and bus terminals, and the flat terrain made it easy to move around with a suitcase. Villa Carlotta is nearby, allowing for easy walking to sights. During peak season, public transportation on Lake Como can be extremely congested, making it difficult to catch a bus or ferry, so having tourist spots within walking distance is a major advantage. The room was spacious, and the restaurant terrace was simply amazing. The breakfast was delicious, and being able to enjoy it on the terrace with a great view made for a truly memorable experience. While I regret not having time for dinner this time, I'll definitely include it next time. The staff were all friendly and willing to help with sightseeing tips. While the staff are apparently unavailable after the restaurant closes at night, there's no need to worry, as the room phone can be used to contact them in case of an emergency. I'd definitely stay here again."
Albergo Villa Edy
"The landlord knew that we were arriving by early flight, so we also hoped that he could give the hotel room early in advance, and they did it. The only downside is that the hotel restaurant only provides breakfast and does not provide snacks for other times. You need to walk to the pier to have a restaurant. It takes about 15 to 20 minutes to get to the pier."
Grand Hotel Tremezzo
"It has been several months since my stay, yet the Grand Hotel Tremezzo warrants a thoughtful review. The property stands as the true grande dame of Lake Como, and its storied history is unmistakable. Although there are other hotels along the lake—many newly renovated and gleaming—they struggle to match the enduring cachet and character that the Tremezzo embodies. Much like the Lodge at Pebble Beach, it is an established hotel that continues to age with unparalleled grace, sophistication, and charm. Our room offered an exceptional view of the lake, framed by the mountains rising majestically behind it. While the décor was somewhat dated, it was tastefully appointed and well maintained. Waking to such a view each morning was an undeniable highlight of our stay. The dining experiences at the hotel were consistently enjoyable. The breakfast buffet, though modest in presentation, was abundant and of high quality. All the meals we had were prepared with care and were thoroughly satisfying. I must particularly commend the front desk and security staff. During our stay, I misplaced my mobile phone, and the staff went above and beyond to assist in locating it—which they successfully did. Their professionalism and dedication greatly enhanced our overall experience. My partner and I left with wonderful memories and look forward to returning when time allows. For travelers who do not require a newly built or ultra‑modern resort, and who instead appreciate a historic property offering exemplary service, the Grand Hotel Tremezzo is an ideal choice. Considering its age, heritage, and the level of service provided, our stay was truly worthy of a five‑star rating."
Hotel la Perla
Hotel Lenno
"The lakeside environment is great, parking is convenient, and the breakfast is great. I will choose this place again next time I come to Lake Como"
Casa Brenna Tosatto Art Experience
"We stayed in Sophia a wonderful apartment with an outside terrace offering amazing views of Lake Como. Our hosts were incredibly attentive & helpful. The personalised breakfast provided by the ever helpful Nejla was served outside giving us a memorable start to the day. There is a safe walled walk to a local supermarket & attractions in Lenno. Highly recommend taking the public ferries from Lenno to visit other towns around Lake Como such as Varenna or Bellagio. Only downside of this spectacular property is the very busy & noisy rd on the other side of the property which impacted on our tranquil retreat."
