Very good hotel. We took a cruise from Trieste, and the Costa Cruise Terminal was just a five-minute walk across from the hotel. The hotel facilities were first-class, the breakfast was rich, and the service was warm. Recommended for friends who take a cruise.

Hotel e’ molto ben tenuto elegante e ben curato ci hanno assegnato una suite da 50 mq di una raffinatezza e pulizia con accessori all altezza di un 4 stelle colazione internazionale eccellente peccato per il ristorante non all altezza del posto con personale e menù che lascia molto a desiderare

Come sempre quando vengo a Trieste anche questa volta ho avuto il piacere di soggiornare al Savoia, che torno a recensire confermando le consuete e ben meritate cinque stelle. La struttura è stupenda, centralissima, arredata con grande gusto e manutenuta con cura. Il personale gentile e professionale. Se disponibile ci è stato varie volte offerto l’upgrade gratuito con stanze di maggior livello. Ottimi il ristorante e il bar. Volendo essere più pignoli di Barbieri, forse ci vorrebbe qualche intervento di manutenzione in più su aria condizionata e dettagli dei bagni, ma nulla che possa inficiare la ben meritata massima valutazione. Complimenti.

We arrived at around 4pm and were met with a chaotic atmosphere in Reception. The check in was reasonable albeit functional. I was asked to put my pin into the card machine to ‘authorise’ payment. This materialised that I had paid for our stay before I entered the room. Not luxury. As a Star loyalty member, no mention of an upgrade. We were dispatched to our room. Room was a great size but shower over bath together with multiple stains on the carpet. When raised with the said Receptionist, she informed me she would tell housekeeping - I’m not sure of what. Bar service excellent. Breakfast good but the waitress appeared that she couldn’t be bothered and the fruit flies all over the Bread was not appealing. She replaced these when I brought it to her attention. Overpriced for what we got and not very luxurious. Stay again? Probably not - it’s wasn’t a special stay but it certainly was a special price.
