Best Hotels near La Crête Fort, Trinity

The Merton apartments are really beautiful, well appointed with a high level of amenity (apart from air conditioning) and an enviable level of service from the staff. In particular our maids, Rica and Agata were extraordinarily solicitous and helpful. The apartments are just over the road from the swimming pool which is clean and beautiful and an easy walk both down to the beach and into town. If you just want to have a quiet day they are a few minutes walk from a lovely park and to great beaches. If you want to go for meals out there are loads of restaurants to choose from. However if you want to eat at the hotel the catering is, if a little expensive, very good indeed. The evening meals comprising of a range of cuisine have something for everyone and the service is second to none. If you want to self cater you will find, just down the hill and around the corner, a well stocked Coop. Be prepared to experience what must be the coldest shop in the universe. So how would I sum up staying at the Merton with the family? This was a really lovely place to be based in Jersey with all the amenities for a great holiday, especially with children..

I can't fault this apar**ent as it was exactly what we were looking for. It has a superb, central location and is adjacent to the main Bus Station. The Jersey bus network provided us with access to all parts of the island and sights. The apar**ent itself was well-appointed with a large living room & fully-fitted kitchen, ideal as we didn't want to eat out every night. That said, being in the centre of St. Helier meant we had plenty of choice for pubs, restaurants and take-aways. We also paid for a room with a balcony and this gave us a lovely view over the harbour & space to properly relax after a day sightseeing. I would definitely recommend the Liberty Wharf Apar**ents.

My partner and I stayed for five nights and we were really impressed by the cleanliness of the hotel and the delicious breakfasts. Dee and her husband went out of their way to make sure I had my veggie options and my husband loved his bacon and sausages. The little pool at the back is lovely to cool off in after a day out and overlooks peaceful countryside. Room was spotless with lovely, fluffy white towels replaced daily if required, tea and coffee with little milks restocked every day. There is a big lounge area with free Wi-Fi and a small bar open 6-11pm. Dee is happy to have a joke at breakfast even though she is so busy. The hotel is very quiet and a great base for exploring the island. It would have been nice to have bar meals or snacks available in the evenings for those who, like us, are sometimes too lazy to go out again after a busy day. Would I recommend it? Had a lovely time - the room overlooking the bay provided the best view and it was a dream to wake up to the sound of waves every morning. Can't beat the location and there are several restaurants nearby as well as the hotels own which was really convenient for drinks in the evening and for a quick lunch between beach sessions. Everything was clean and quiet and service was friendly and even called to tell us our room was ready earlier than planned.

The Atlantic Hotel is absolutely a first class property, worthy of its excellent reputation. I had a great stay at the hotel, including through Storm Ciarán. First and foremost, the staff at The Atlantic are really excellent. I can't think of a hotel I've stayed at where the staff have been so consistently hospitable, warm and personable. Several deserve to be mentioned by name. Nathan is the wonderful concierge - he is warm, eager to assist guests and genuinely interested to give great hints and tips and ensure each guest has a great stay. Equally Sherman the restaurant manager was a credit to the hotel. He greeted me by name each time I saw him and demonstrated the highest levels of professionalism, care and genuine warmth. I hope he's still there next time I return! Equally Gregg in the restaurant, Alex, the assistant sommelier, Patrick, Rui, the front desk team - all were great. It's a real credit to the hotel's leadership that they are attracting, training and retaining such excellent staff. That really shown through in the aftermath of Storm Ciarán. I knew that the staff were committed to taking care of us, ensuring the safety and comfort of guests. The hotel itself is a true classic. It's not the most contemporary - nor should it be. It has personality, warmth and is genuinely comfortable. Cleanliness is excellent and maintenance is good. Some areas perhaps are in need of an update, but nothing critical. I liked that the hotel didn't feel forced or that it was trying to be something it's not. I think the building itself has an elegance and presence. I really enjoyed my room. I would DEFINITELY recommend the sea-view. I hesitated and shouldn't have. It makes a huge difference. The view is exceptional and I loved the little Juliette balcony. The furniture is mixed, but thoughtfully so. The beds great and a delight to stay in a hotel that doesn't have a hugely over-heavy duvet. The indoor pool was pleasant and I appreciated the sauna too. Breakfast at the hotel is again first class. I definitely enjoy having hot food prepared to order. Plus a good quality, well curated buffet too. Food in the hotel generally is very good quality, but perhaps a little over complex. I counted five available menus for evening meal across the restaurant and bar / lounge. It's nice to have choice and variety - but that felt a little much. A small point, but amidst the five menus - the dessert options were limited and just not quite right. The small choice were all fine dining style - and just a little fussy. It's great to have a couple of innovative options but the menu was missing options that were perhaps just more classic and accessible. I think the pastry chef could perhaps also add to the afternoon menu some fresh cakes or home made biscuits to accompany a cup of tea in the afternoon. I also think that the music in the lobby and restaurant must drive the staff slightly crazy! A little variety would be good. Thos
