Older Fairfield with more modest facilities than newer cousins , rooms are relatively large and although somewhat dated still very comfortable., number of an other chain hotels next to it in hotel row, not sure if they would be any better and there is no choice of upper level hotels

Very clean well decorated rooms. Lovely carpet and nicely layed out. We think this must have been an old hotel redone. The hot breakfast was very nice with eggs, sausage and a lot of attention to detail. The best coffee I've ever had at a hotel!!! The pool is huge for a hotel. Beds were very confortable. This place was originally some other kind of hotel (BW or Comfort Inn etc) Marriott has renovated everything and it is fresh and bright. Rooms are smaller but clean and comfortable. The walls are not completely sound proof and muffled coughing could be heard but nothing drastic. Beds were comfortable and it features a nice pool and large gym room. Our electronic door was temperamental opening sometimes and not others (rm 104) but the price was right and the location right off I-75 so based on that when passing through again I would consider staying again.

We stayed here as we went to a concert in Troy. I am very picky about hotels, cleanliness, noise, etc and was pleasantly surprised at this hotel. It was very very clean and although the hotel was fairly full, we never heard a sound from other rooms or the hallway. Late checkout was no problem and every staff member we encountered from the front desk to housekeeping went out of their way to welcome us and make us feel appreciated, including hand written notes in the room from our housekeeper. My kids used the pool. They said it was cold but that didn't stop them from enjoying. We didn't utilize the breakfast option so can't comment on that. We don't plan to travel to Troy in the future but if we did, we would definitely stay here again.

After a long day of driving, we were ready to spend the night somewhere. We ended up staying at Fairfield based on prices in the area. Plus, it being a Marriott hotel I had hopes for a good night rest. It was fairly easy to find and the check-in process was a breeze, especially for someone who hadn't booked ahead. The bed was great, the AC was great, and no problems with issues of cleanliness. We slept well and that was all that mattered. In the long run, if we pass by this hotel again we would definitely consider spending the night.

There was a roach in our room in the morning. Also very thin walls and dirty rooms. The bathroom smelled very bad. I feel that this hotel is going down hill quickly. The front desk was very nice about it and the staff was friendly.
