Mereva Tulum

Our stay at Mereva was amazing. Everything from check-in to check-out exceeded expectations. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and by the end of our trip, they felt like family. Our room was fantastic with perfect ocean view and very clean. Our fridge was stocked with water bottles every day which was super helpful in keeping us hydrated from our activities whether lounging in their two pools, to swimming in the ocean, to our excursions to the Tulum Ruins and Chichen Itza. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Mereva as a must stay when visiting Tulum.

we had good times there - stayed 6 nights and visited friends around. quite and calm place to relax and enjoy the beach and yourself - no party place - just like the pictures show - beautiful and clean. we had a room with sea view balcony - nice staff, kind and friendly. we would come back.

Staff was super helpful and nice. Food on the property was very tasty. The property had pretty good amenities too. It was nice that they had two sister properties nearby to explore. We had a few issues with our room (AC broke) but the service team was quick to respond. Biggest downside was the proximity to town and the beach zone. Taxis to these areas were expensive and something we didn’t expect.

The property is lovely, peaceful and tucked away from the loud party zone of tulum yet accessible by car when you want to go and enjoy that side of tulum! Calm waters, great food, fantastic staff - special mention to the manager and the serving staff. We had a few hiccups and they were very considerate and helpful! The beach is rocky and not easily swimmable as others but the gorgeous sunrise and dock makes up for it!

Beware of credit card fraud. I used 2 charge cards at the Mereva and my bank informed me that I had credit card fraud on both of them. This was the only place that I used these cards. They declined the charges, thankfully. This shouldn’t happen at this resort. After a long hard trip, we arrived and the room wasn’t ready for almost two hours. We went to the cenote, next door and our clothes were stolen, so we had to walk through the lobby in our swim suits and when we told the people at the desk, they laughed at us. The room was nice and the food but this is what happened to us. Beware of the cenote people and the Mereva! They’re crooks!

Fantastic stay at Mereva. We stayed here for a family vacation - It was the first time to Quintana Roo/Yucatan for my brother and sister-in-law and the fourth time for myself and Mereva is the perfect place to stay whether you are new to traveling or a seasoned traveler. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and felt like family by the end of our trip. Our room had an amazing view of the Mexican Caribbean, was very clean and our fridge was stocked daily with water and beer. The free breakfast is a great deal and very tasty! We ate at here for most of our meals and all were good. Definite highlights of this property are the semi-private beach (although it felt very private to me!), two pools and plenty of hammocks to lay in and read a book or in my case, take a nap. The stars at night are absolutely stunning for star gazing. The location is great for relaxation with a cenote nearby but is not within walking distance to Tulum Town. We had planned excursions through tour companies to Tulum Ruins and Chichen Itza which included hotel pick-up and drop-off but for any impromptu activities, taxis are the only option. If you want to explore on your own or head to Tulum Town, it can be quite expensive so it's best to factor taxi cost into your budget as that was something we didn't take into account. Highly recommend staying here. Can't say enough about how amazing our stay was.
