La Zebra Tulum, a Small Luxury Hotel ★★★★
"The location is great. The parking lot is just opposite the hotel. The room is a 2-minute walk from the beach. The beach is wide and there are few tourists. I saw the most beautiful sunrise. The large balcony is surrounded by green plants and is very suitable for sunbathing. It is quieter than other hotels at night. The double shower can take a shower at the same time. The hotel thoughtfully prepared three large bottles of drinking purified water and a woven bag for going out... I like Tulum starting from the hotel."
Naala Tulum ★★★
"Charming hotel, located a bit far from everything. Good price and good service."
Alaya Tulum ★★★
"The room is quite big, the price is very high, the service is very good"
Mi Amor Boutique Hotel-Adults Only ★★★★
"You can hear the sound of waves all the way to your room, so you can feel the great outdoors. The only disappointing thing was that there was a charge for water in the room. Tap water was free, but I was grateful that bottled water was also free. Overall, I'm very satisfied because I can see the sea from my room. There were a lot of mosquitoes and I got bitten a lot, so I recommend bringing insect repellent spray."
Hotel Shibari - Restaurant & Cenote Club ★★★★★
"First of all the service was beyond bad, it’s as if the staff never communicated with eachother. Upon arrival, we got asked if we were celebrating anything, to which we said yes as it’s our fifth anniversary, and they said they would arrange a surprise for us the next day. We finished our stay without any surprise or acknowledgment as to what had happened, it was just forgotten. They would ask us every day if it was our first time at breakfast, ask about allergies and so on, which on your fifth day at the hotel makes it feel very impersonal. The hotel is also very restrictive in when you can use their amenities, which is laughable when they have no direct beach access. Their pool only opens 11am-6pm, their bikes (which are in horrible shape) can only be hired 9am-6pm…it felt like being at a school camp instead of an alleged 5-star hotel. You are stranded on a street with nothing to do, no signal outside of the hotel, no free beach access and a whopping $40 to get to the town center (which is a 15min drive away). To put the cherry on top, we got called to our room on our last night asking when we would like our bags collected for check-out, they said it was arranged…and it never was. We also never got asked if we had a nice stay upon leaving, nothing. They truly don’t seem to care. Honestly, save yourself the trouble."
Kan Hotel Tulum ★★★
"The hotel is beautiful, very jungle like feeling, peaceful and quiet. Love the little cenote. Would be nice if there was a variety of food. Only 1 restaurant, small menu, and it opens 8am so you can't get coffee/tea. The rooms dont have anything to make tea/coffee, So you'd need to head out, there's a nice French bakery 5mins walk away. The location is a little remote but with a,scooter or atv you can get to the beach or town in 15-20mins."
Playa Esperanza Tulum ★★★★
"Great beach. Good pool. Amazing view from hotel room."
Nahouse Jungle Lodges ★★★
Delek Tulum ★★★★
"This place is gorgeous and the service is impeccable! Perfect location for people who like daytime on the beach and nightlife. The AC was great to have in the room as it gets very hot and humid in Tulum. Truly all around great place!"

NABOA Hotel Tulum
"The room was spacious and well-designed. However, the hotel's location was inconvenient for getting around unless you had your own car."
Moxy Tulum
"Great new property. I’m a Marriott Bonvoy acolyte, and it was great to have an affordable option at the edge of town that is equally accessible to the beach. Room is comfortable, nice shower setup (bigger and better than what I expected at a Moxy) AC runs cold and is timed for room occupancy to save energy. Daily housekeeping is always appreciated The included breakfast was an unexpected treat. Table service with great staff (David and Emilio) and served until 11, this became my favorite way to start the day. I only regret not finding time to try the spa."
Azulik
"The room was very comfortable, though privacy was a bit lacking. However, embracing nature and experiencing Mayan culture was incredibly artistic, and the service was excellent."
The Yellow Nest Tulum
La Valise Tulum, Member of Small Luxury Hotels
"Great service with friendly local staff. Very nice beach front view."
Secrets Tulum Resort and Beach Club
"I honestly don’t understand how this hotel calls itself a 5-star property. My whole experience here was extremely disappointing from the moment we arrived. Service is absolutely terrible. Nobody helps you with anything, reception doesn’t care, and every time you call the front desk or concierge, nobody answers the phone. Zero hospitality. Food was honestly disgusting. Nothing fresh, no flavor, very low quality. Drinks taste like water — literally no alcohol. Even the cups and glasses in restaurants were dirty. It feels completely unacceptable for a resort that is supposed to be luxury. We also had a very unpleasant situation with the membership “presentation” scam. They invited us to a “lunch to learn about the brand,” but in reality, it turned into a pushy timeshare-style sales pitch. None of this was explained honestly beforehand. When we complained, the front desk staff was rude and dismissive, as if this is normal. On top of that, I forgot my dress in the room. They admitted they found it, but for two days they ignored me, didn’t contact me back, and didn’t send it. I kept calling and messaging, and still no response. This shows how bad the communication and customer care truly is. After during checkout they asked us to sign the paper that we have no problem with the hotel and requested we write a good review about them. Ridiculous. Overall, this hotel is not worth the money, not even close to 5-star standards, and definitely not the luxury experience they advertise. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable, honest, and professionally managed resort."

Villa Pescadores Tulum by Ahau Collection
"We stayed two nights at the Villa Pescadores. It is beautifully situated inside a national park. It was really easy to reach the Tulum archeological site, every few minutes an electric kart stops in front of the entrance which takes you there. The airco does not work during the daytime, but when one of us was not feeling well they kindly switched in one. The staff is very friendly overall, especially David who did his utmost to help and serve us. Unfortunately the hotel feels a bit understaffed, waiting times were sometimes quite long. The beach is spacious and beautiful but when we were there the sea was brown and the beach was full of sargassum, which also gives a terrible smell. If you fancy the beach it is probably better to look elsewhere."
Maison Tulum
"pros manager super helpful and available with plenty of the city recommendations + transportations cute apartments with amazing decoration cons lack of cleaning (dirty room and same towel (one for each person) for 6 days! no fridge for keeping the water bottle cold in one of the rooms with temperatures reaching 30 degree leaking from the roof inside the room when it was raining breakfast only coffee, jam, butter and bread!!! ah! and one apple :( noisy during night! no strong WiFi in the upstairs rooms 20 minutes driving from the popular beach shower was not strong enough"
Copal Tulum Hotel
"Beautiful architecture with natural materials and courtyard with plant paradise"
Motto by Hilton Tulum
"shi s The facilities are too poor, the wash basin is blocked, the toilet is blocked"
Our Habitas Tulum - Adults Only
"The jungle room has a beautiful and quiet environment, with a sense of wild luxury. At night, you can see the cute raccoons walking around outside the door. The restaurant is delicious and the price is very reasonable. I was impressed by the octopus claws for dinner and the fried eggs in the morning."
