"A Haven of Tranquillity
The most wonderful place to stay. Everything was super amazing. Location is great, inbetween the beach and Main Street, hire a bike, makes it easier. Built around trees and an open central space, oozes peacefulness. The Kasa & bedrooms are beautifully designed, huge bed, lovely shower, coffee machine & super comfy. Pool/rooftop bar & food with loungers. A great breakfast too. Last but not least, the staff were wonderful, especially Omar. Could not recommend enough. 😁"

"The room was very small and had a rooftop view, but the view was only on the 4th floor, so it wasn't that good, and I could see the window next door, so I had to keep the blinds open every day. The pool is small, but the interior is very neat and pretty. The female staff was a little rude when I checked in.

TT_DIncredible place, sophisticated architecture and exceptional service! We went with God's children and had a very pleasant time, they loved it! The only downside is the extra costs for food and drinks, which are quite high!

LLina Brown ForbesI honestly don’t understand how this hotel calls itself a 5-star property. My whole experience here was extremely disappointing from the moment we arrived.
Service is absolutely terrible. Nobody helps you with anything, reception doesn’t care, and every time you call the front desk or concierge, nobody answers the phone. Zero hospitality.
Food was honestly disgusting. Nothing fresh, no flavor, very low quality. Drinks taste like water — literally no alcohol. Even the cups and glasses in restaurants were dirty. It feels completely unacceptable for a resort that is supposed to be luxury.
We also had a very unpleasant situation with the membership “presentation” scam. They invited us to a “lunch to learn about the brand,” but in reality, it turned into a pushy timeshare-style sales pitch. None of this was explained honestly beforehand. When we complained, the front desk staff was rude and dismissive, as if this is normal.
On top of that, I forgot my dress in the room. They admitted they found it, but for two days they ignored me, didn’t contact me back, and didn’t send it. I kept calling and messaging, and still no response. This shows how bad the communication and customer care truly is. After during checkout they asked us to sign the paper that we have no problem with the hotel and requested we write a good review about them. Ridiculous.
Overall, this hotel is not worth the money, not even close to 5-star standards, and definitely not the luxury experience they advertise. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable, honest, and professionally managed resort.
GGuest UserWe had an overall wonderful experience for our 7 days spent at Hotelito Azul! We went with another couple and each stayed in the Oceanfront Suites (we were above them, they were ground level). The rooms were clean and spacious. Somewhat limited storage for clothes but we made the best of the shelving/hanging unit provided. The shower is a dream. The maid service cleaned our room daily and did a wonderful job! We loved the treats left on our pillows each day. AC was yours to control. One challenge we faced that would have a simple fix was the lack of rugs in the room. You’re walking through sand to get to your room and yes, there’s a bucket of water to rinse before entering however we were desperate for a small outdoor rug or just something at either the sides or foot of the bed to brush off sand before getting in bed. Interestingly, our friends downstairs had an awesome runner at the foot of their bed so maybe just consistency with that would make a huge difference! You wake to a cute basket with coffee each morning and they will refill your drinking water as much as you need it in the room. We can’t say enough good things about the staff. You communicate to them through What’sApp which offered quick responses to any questions or concerns or when ordering food/drink. Larissa, the concierge was WONDERFUL. She welcomed us every day and made us feel right at home and taken care of during our stay. She helped fill out trip with wonderful experiences whether it be tours, great local spots for food/drink or logistics. We rented scooters from the hotel the majority of our vacation days and it was well worth it. We did find the prices just across the street were cheaper however we liked the convenience of renting through the hotel. The food and drink at the hotel is all delicious, although we quickly learned that eating and drinking on the beach does get expensive, so we chose wisely when/how much we ate at the hotel. This just comes with the location. The physical location of the hotel is ideal because it isn’t too far down into the beach strip, which traffic became pretty bad the further you drove in. The aesthetic and details of the hotel are perfect for making you feel like you’re living in a whimsical jungle. FYI to all looking to stay on the beach in Tulum, during April-November or so, Tulum gets a massive amount of seaweed that makes it nearly impossible to swim in the ocean. The hotels, including Hotelito Azul, do their best to remove as much seaweed from the beach as possible, but man, is it an uphill battle. This limited our ability to sit out on the beach unfortunately, because the only relief from the heat was the outdoor shower. Which, again, is lovely, but not the ocean. Luckily, Tulum has so many other wonderful things to do that we did not feel this impacted our trip in any significant way. Those that travel during the better months have a lovely beachfront area to look forward to at Hotelito Azul. All in all, we loved our stay at this hotel and look forward to returning in the future! Thank you all!

DDidiOur stay at Tago Tulum was simply outstanding! The hotel itself is a paradise – the rooms look even better than in the photos, with spacious layouts, beautiful decor, and that perfect blend of luxury and Tulum’s bohemian style. The beachfront view and peaceful ambiance made it the ideal place to unwind.
What really made our experience unforgettable was the exceptional service, especially from Victor. He took care of everything we needed, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was seamless and enjoyable. Victor’s warmth and attention to detail made us feel right at home – a true gem! Tago Tulum is a must for anyone visiting Tulum, and we can’t wait to return

GGuest UserThe all-encompassing deciding factor is the number of restaurants, but here, in addition to various restaurants in Mexico, Italy, sushi, France, teppanyaki, buffet style, there are ice creams and smoothies, cafes, etc. I like it every day! !!
There are a few souvenir shops, they are very good!
The good thing is the evening event, where the souvenir stall opens from the square on the spot.
It is nice to see something other than the souvenir shop without going out. Most importantly, the tequila store and the artists attracted on the spot are great!
The resort also holds many activities every day. I am looking forward to participating in cooking classes, sports, etc.!
GGuest UserThere is no shower and no lights. We are ready, but we live on the first floor and we were chopped to death by the people on the second floor. We were still walking around at two o'clock in the morning, and there were people arguing next door until late 🥹 All the staff's services can't be said. In other words, this place is enough for a day. The price/performance ratio is not too high, and the breakfast is good.

DDandI started out in my younger days staying at 3 star hotels working myself up to 5 star hotels these days. On this recent weekend trip i held back on my post xmas spending and got a great deal at Kore so I took a chance on it despite all the negative reviews. I think the 1 out 5 star ratings are ridiculously unfair. Rooms were big, clean, and comfy. Location was decent and had great views of the sea. I only had breakfast as I like to get out and explore, so I couldn't tell you much about the quality of food. The waiters were good, as soon as I sat down, my coffee was poured. After they recognized I tip, I never had to wait in line to get my omelets...lol. best part was the service from the front desk concierge (the Mexican soap opera looking guy) Victor. Dude was always so nice and helpful. Upon checkout, I had a late flight out, he knew that I love bike riding, so he let me keep my bracelet to have access until my shuttle arrived. I did not experience most of the issues on these reviews. English speaking staff was a challenge, but i found that was an issue everwhere I was in Tulum. Overall, if you were to go by the strict AAA guidelines, this hotel would probably recieve a 3-3.5 rating and closer to a 4 by the generous booking sites. This was no Hyatt, but a good value. Dont let those 1 star ratings discourage you.
My rating does not include the quality of food...
