The hotel is very small, boutique, not busy and equipped with every luxury. The staff is ready to help you day and night. The service is good but the staff is so helpful and submissive that it almost feels uncomfortable. Breakfast is a la carte. You get two choices each time, very varied and with healthy options. Both the beach and swimming pool are very accessible. If you wish, the hotel also has additional facilities such as snorkeling with a guide (included). However, the hotel had a lot of problems with algae on the beach when we were there (in July). There is little they can do about it. It is cleaned regularly, but the accumulated algae is kept right next to the beach and then removed. The location is tricky. On the one hand, very remote and on a quiet beach with sufficient facilities. On the other hand, if you are looking for more variety and do not necessarily want to use the surrounding restaurants of "luxury" hotels, you also have to make some effort. Tulum center is fifteen minutes by car, which is not a problem, but the access road to the hotel ***** is extremely bumpy and full of deep holes. You have to make some effort to get out of there. The airport is also a 1.5 hour drive away, with a lot of beach traffic even in the early morning (7 am). If you want to use the restaurant, the price-quality ratio is debatable. We thought it was seriously overpriced because you paid 20 euros for very simple cocktails in plastic cups or hamburgers. If you don't mind that, you can have all kinds of food brought to your room. And finally, the whole setting looks more luxurious than it is. For the price-quality ratio, it should be mentioned that small details such as the TV that does not function properly or a slow internet connection do become important.

A comida é elaborada a valores bastante razoáveis.

My husband and I absolutely loved our 5 days at Nerea. We had a swim up room, which was well worth it. It’s a perfect place for those wanting beautiful design in the “Tulum aesthetic” without the traffic, noise, and prices of the hotel zone. Isabel (front desk) and Jose (bar) were great. A special shout out to Benjamin who worked breakfast, we loved starting our days with his goofy jokes and laugh. I also did yoga with Sabine, and even though it was adjusted to meditation because of the wind, her class far exceeded my expectations and was just what my soul needed. We thought the food was great, if a little expensive, but that’s to be expected in this area. The breakfast comes with the room and is quite hearty, options include our favorites shakshuka and chilaquiles, as well as a starter and coffee and juice. We recommend renting a car, since we heard taxis are expensive and Uber doesn’t operate in Tulum. It was easy enough to drive from Cancun to Tulum, the traffic was only minimally intimidating :). It also allows you to drive to nearby censored without needing to do a tour.

My partner and I chose this place to spend New Year's, we were quite disappointed! The service was terrible, especially in the restaurant, she spoke very badly to us and the captain of the waiters had a terrible attitude, (the food is not good at all) apart from the fact that they did not clean our room for 1 day, we would not return!

I cannot say enough great things about the little slice of heaven that Nerea Tulum provides! From the amazing staff (shoutout to Jesus, Isabel and Benjamin) to the beautiful accommodations. We only stayed one night in the ocean front room but it left us not wanting to leave! There’s something about falling asleep to the sound of the ocean that can’t be duplicated. The beach area is great and the fact that you can visit their sister hotels located a short walk to try different cuisine is wonderful. Can’t wait to come back!!

Absolutely beautiful hotel, with really friendly, helpful and engaged people like Isabel! Isabel worked with me to make sure my itinerary was set prior to arrival including a wonderful massage on site, a private dinner at the pier and a cenotes tour! She coordinated everything so we didn't have to worry about a thing. The food is fresh and delicious and service is impeccable. It really gave us a wonderful space to relax and soak up some sun. The only points I would keep in mind are: a) to no fault of their own, there is a construction site right next to them which means there is loud noise during the day. b) the beach is not exactly swimmable as there is a lot of reef and lots of rocks in this area. c) it is a little isolated (with a rocky road leading to it) from the Tulum center. This didn't disturb us as we had a car but may bother others. Overall great experience with everyone!!

My husband and I came here for my 40th birthday and this hotel was seriously amazing! I cried when I got home because I missed it so much. We originally booked at the neighbor hotel, Alea, but they weren't finished remodeling so they put us here. They provided us with an upgraded room that had a rooftop plunge pool, and a credit for the inconvenience and it was no inconvenience at all!! The food was great, including the free breakfast and every single staff member was beyond kind and helpful! I wish I could remember all of their names because every single one of them were wonderful people. I'm actually really hoping that we are able to come back here sooner than later, because the weather (and my health) wasn't cooperating for the first half of our trip, so we missed out on doing some things in the area. There is also a beautiful cenote right across the street with a resident (friendly) crocodile named Panchito and he swam with us while we kayaked. It was seriously so cool! Do yourself a favor and book this hotel. It's like a small piece of paradise while still being in a great area and close enough to see things. And if you want to stay at the hotel and just enjoy the beach and the nearby cenote, you will still get your moneys worth and have an amazing time!
