Tumut Hotels with Wi-Fi

The Elms Motel was well located 1 block from main shopping centre, hotels, cafe's & supermarket. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were very clean, bed was comfy. Would definately stay there again.

We stayed a couple weeks ago in one of the rooms here at the Oriental Hotel and we were very impressed with how spacious the rooms were. The toilets and showers were well maintained and regularly cleaned and we were very grateful for the powerful air conditioning which provided a relief from the summer heat

This motel boasts that is it the best in Tumut. From the outside it appears to be far from it. It has no street presence, the gardens and grounds are unkempt and while the rooms have clearly been refurbished recently, it was cheaply done and has been poorly maintained so the room already looked shabby. Daily cleaning consisted of making the bed, not even the bathroom floor got mopped. After 2 years of slow business due to COVID, I can't believe that everybody's property isn't at least clean and tidy. Simple cleaning and gardening doesn't cost much and to arrive at a property like this is not welcoming especially when check in and check out done remotely. We didn't see a staff member for the whole of our 2 day stay.

I was greeted by Raj (Rajdeep) who is the manager. Super nice guy and very welcoming. We had a nice chat which made me feel like I wasn’t just another customer. He seems like the kind of person that will go above and beyond to ensure you have a great stay. The rooms are clean and nicely set out. It is a little old fashioned but that fits well by giving a friendly rural motel vibe. It’s sometimes really nice to step back from super modern and enjoy simplicity. I like that they don’t use those gross motel style doona covers as the beds are made with white sheeting. It is peaceful and quiet and has a very nice pool. Overall 5 stars for the service, price and cleanliness of the rooms. Thanks Raj and staff.

For those who just want to get away from it all but in comfort. High Country peace and quiet overlooking the beautiful Tumut River. Three Blue Ducks provides great Australian cooking and wine to go with the landscape. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Great in-room breakfast hampers and a misty river walk first thing in the morning is a great way to start the day.
