"Stayed here for a much needed quiet Xmas break with family of 4. Location is simply stunning. Views from every cottage are breathtaking. We barely saw anyone the entire time however owner Dave was very welcoming and made sure we knew where he was if we needed anything. They even provided us with some river tubes which was a great way to cool down. Cottage had all things needed for a self catering holiday however I would recommend you bring your own tea and coffee. Air conditioning kept us cool and beds were very comfortable. Full sized oven meant we were able to cater for a special Xmas lunch. The teenagers loved the river and we enjoyed seeing lots of wildlife including wombats, kangaroos, rabbits, kookaburras and the farm animals were also a hit with the kids. If you are looking for a quiet place to truely unwind and get away from it all then this is the place for you."

But lots of lights out in the shower/toilet area. Make sure you bring ear plugs if you sleep before the pub band downstairs has finished."

"The first things we noticed about our room at the Oriental Hotel were the earplugs on the bath-towels on the bed (where in other hotels you might get a cake of soap). All a bit alarming, and is was very noisy from say 5 to 6pm with lots of logging trucks rumbling past in the street outside. But after that it was quiet - we had no need for the earplugs at all. Overall, we thought the hotel very good, though were disappointed with the wifi reception in our room (it was better in the bar downstairs). We had seen reviews that commented on the excellent wifi that sold us on the place but when we got there it was a different story, with the woman who checked us in saying it could be 'hit and miss'. It was more miss than hit on our visit. On the plus side, the room was relatively spacious for an older style hotel, the bed comfortable and the shared bathrooms spotlessly clean. The tariff was reasonable and, downstairs in the pub, there is an excellent, highly rated restaurant (another reason we stayed here) and a pleasant bar area. The wide balcony outside the room was also excellent, but definitely not between 5 and 6pm for the reasons stated before."

"Very dissapointed to book a Queen suite and it states queen size bed to find it was a double and very very soft so not comfortable. Also dissapointed that when I asked the man at front desk where we can park as it looked like there was no parking in front of our room he said there’s no allocated parks just find somewhere .. which was difficult as cars around had all parked over their lines .. I’m only leaving a review as I tried to contact motel by email and have not had response as we left too early to see anyone in office .. room was clean but not as described on website"
