Turckheim Hotels with Bars

The hotel is a typical example of Alsace buildings. Really beautiful on the outside, very cosy and traditional on the inside. The furnishings range from typical Alsace to safari themed. Our room was quirky but very clean and comfortable with uo to date USB sockets provided as well as a coffee machine. A curtain on the bathroom window as well as the net one would have been welcome. Breakfast was generous, wide ranging (two different chocolate cakes!) good quality and reasonably priced.

The hotel Les Portes de la Vallee is a great place from which to visit Alsace, especially Colmar, Riquewhir, Eguisheim, the Route des Vins and of course Turckheim. Everyone at the hotel, which seems to be a family run operation, was very nice. They would help you discover the local area and recommend places to visit. The rooms were very clean, and the breakfast was good and not expensive at all. The hotel is located in a mostly residential area, which keeps things relatively quiet, and it is easy to drive to the above mentioned areas without the hassle of traffic. We stayed here for 3 nights with friends, and are planning on coming back again. Would highly recommend!
