Mountain Chalets Motel

This motel is super convenient, you can park right by your room. The room was really well-cleaned, and both beds were huge. When I opened the curtains in the morning, wow... I was really surprised by the view.

The actual house looks different from the photos on the platform. It's a long, single-story building located within a residential compound, divided into a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and living area. Overall, it feels quite cramped. The kitchen facilities are basic, with no stove or pots, just a microwave, kettle, and a small fridge. This makes it inconvenient if you want to cook your own meals. There aren't many shops or restaurants nearby either. The famous salmon restaurant is about a ten-minute drive away, and it takes around 50 minutes to drive to the ****** Valley Track at Mount Cook.

This hotel is conveniently located right by the highway, which is great for self-drivers. There's a gas station, supermarket, and restaurants just outside. They did email me to cancel my booking right before check-in, but thankfully, after contacting Ctrip, I was able to check in smoothly. The hotel environment is quite nice, and you can see the stars at night. The room facilities are pretty basic, but everything you need is there. It's perfectly acceptable for self-driving travelers who aren't too picky.

The hygiene needs improvement. There were food crumbs all over the chairs. The facilities are a bit old, but the location is excellent.
