The boss enthusiastically introduced the scenery around Lake Taupo. The room was comfortable and clean, the lake view was amazing, the price/performance ratio was very high, and it was a perfect experience.

The resort is right on the beach, separated by a road. Although there is no sea view, the room is quite comfortable. The receptionist is full of energy. There is a heated swimming pool in the hotel. The room is relatively large. It is good to cook your own meals in the kitchen at night.

We had a wonderful stay. The rooms were large and clean, and the bed very comfortable. Best of all is the beautiful location right on the Lake. There is a walkway in both directions just across the road from the motel, it has some amazing little beaches - which must be lovely in summer. We didn't get to use the motel spa pool this time, but we'll definitely stay again.

We had a lovely stay at the Anchorage Resort. We had the room above the reception area and the views were amazing! The hot tub was also wonderful in the evening.

2 night stay as part of tour of NZ. Our room looked over the small pool and the Lake. Off road parking free and no problem. Proprietor was friendly and very helpful. The room was a good size and had everything we needed. The bathroom was a bit old but perfectly ok and included a jacuzzi bath as well as a shower. The town centre was a bit of a drive away. We ordered a takeaway delivery the first night. The second night we just walked across the road to the sailing club and had pizza whilst looking over the lake. Huka Falls is a short drive away. Wharewaka Point is very pleasant.
