From the onset, I would like to declare this is not a review of our stay but the booking experience of the hotel. Selected Hotel Hilltop Palace for our upcoming Dipawali vacation with family - including my father who needs wheelchair assistance continuously. This would be our 5th visit to Udaipur and wanted to stay at a newer place and had this hotel in mind while we stayed at Lalit - loved its location. But, I am driven away by two things - extremely bad reviews on tripadvisor and one thing coming to fruition which was mentioned in the many reviews - the response of the front office. I booked via Agoda and called up the property to confirm after half an hour to confirm that they had received our bookings. I could get someone to pickup the phone after more than 10 attempts!!! 10 times, complete rings were rung and no one answered. Previously a few days back, my wife called them up to check if the place was suitable for our parrents - like whether they have lift and whether any stairs are there before the access of elevator for my father and whether they provide a wheelchair or not - and she too told me the same thing, the phone was picked up after many trials. Also, once they picked up the phone, I asked whether they have got the booking from Agoda or not. The person replied: ”agar Agoda ka confirmation aapko mil gaya to aa hi gaya hoga.” Shocked at the negligence, I again politely requested him to check which he did. Then I asked whether the room types are the same as I had booked and on the same floor. The person again reluctantly said : ”jo category aapne book karvayi woh hi hogi”. I told him that I expected to get the same category rooms but the reason for my calling them was to confirm it becasue the room category descriptions vary between multiple booking sites and some times between the properties and booking agency as well - its all from my previous experiences. So after so much deliberation he confirmed this. Call me too much hyper and apprehensive, but I sensed the level of service they could offer from these incidences and decided to cancel the bookings immediately. The reviews say that the property is lovely in terms of its location and space scaping but lacks on two major areas - its upkeep of facilities and the service levels. I can vouch being a regular visitor to Udaipur that this proerty has so many things going for it - first of all its location and views it offers and then approachability to the property being it on the lake shore which is the rarest of the rare combination to find in Udaipur. This reivew is purely aimed at letting them know what the travellers are missing on due to the lack of attention by the owners. Hope they notice this and improve on it. May be they can charge even higher rates and it can be upgraded to 5 star - it has that potential. If they take up these improvements, I would surely love to stay there. All the best!

Hi Trip Advisor ..Wishing everyone a Very Happy New year 2023... After 1001 contributions it was a great sabbatical ,thanks to Corona not the beer but the Covid 19. Though Holidayed for a week in gOA at Taj post lockdown, did not post any review. But this one is from my heart for the bountiful , unflinching and the relentless hospitality by the staff of Hotel Udaigarh in pursuit of satisfaction of the Guests... AND THIS IS NOT A PAID REVIEW AT ANY COST........BUT A Review for the BEST. To the brasstacks:- LOCATION :- 1. The hotel is in the old city of Udaipur near to City Palace (200m) and over looks the Lake Pichola. 2. The hotel is very well located with good shopping nearby for the Leather or the Antiques or for the miniature art paintings all with in the walkable Distance (150- 250m). 3. It is within the walkable distance of 200m from the ancient temple , the Jagdish ***dir. 4. All good and coveted restaurants are near by including the Rainbow, Jagat Niwas , Marwar Haveli and more. 5. The hotel is located next to Bagore ki haveli known for the Puppet show and Local cultural progamme show , at a strolling distance of 200m. 6. The place over looks Lal ghat and next to Gangaur Ghat both being very close by for capturing the beautiful sunsets. 7. It is nearer to the Famous Millets of Mewar Restaurant (100m) . 8. It itself has a roof top restaurant that offers great food with an astonishing view of Lake pICHOLA both by day and night.. Amazing sunset view at dusk and a better and near view of TAJ lake Palace. 9. Hathipole is the main market and is just 1.5 km away ,is worth exploring while one takes a walk. 10. The property has a pool , good for a cool dip in summers and may not be so during winters. 11. The hotel offers a great view 24 x7 and nothing beats it's location ,given the Budget, the hospitality and the location. THE ROOMS;- Rooms on Three floors and yes there is a LIFT. 1. The rooms are very well done up and every room has been decorated with Rajasthani paintings that are simply mesmerising. 2. The sitting areas of all the three floors have a different set up and beautiful ambience to make the moment. 3. Rooms ending with 01 are Superior Heritage and spacious rooms ..Those preferring exquisite space would love it, just that it has no paintings on the wall.. But that is even negligible. 4. Else all other rooms are well done up . Hardly any power cuts though there is power back , unlimited tea rations, kettle , water bottles , wifi etc etc are catered for. 5. Regular house keeping or as desired and 24x7 assistance through intercom. 6. Every floor has a seating area very well done up and lit up. Even the reception is very charming. 7. No room is over looking the lake , which is hardly an issue because the pool and restaurant area give abundance view 24x7. FOOD /BREAKFAST :- 1. We had a great experience staying at this hotel. It is highly recommended. The hotel rooms were so neat and clean, and the interiors were very welcoming and heartwarming. Also, the service was top-notch. Praveen was great and made sure to help us as much as possible. ***** with this it wasn’t sent so location wise also it was 10 out of 10! I normally don’t drop a review but I probably miss this place and I wish I stayed more than two days in Udaipur! ✨🥺

Hotel Narayans leela Inn could be very budget friendly option to get near to the Udaipur bus stand. This hotel is located at walking distance from the Udaipur Bus stand, also not so far from the railway station. It is 4 story hotel. Entering to the hotel leads to the reception area where you were welcomed with water. Lift is just located near to the reception. At the left side of the reception, restaurant area is located. Hotel room sizes are okay but not so spacious. Bathrooms were look somewhat old and many dents and cracks can be seen on tiles and sanitarywares. You can enjoy the beautiful view of City Palace from the rooms. But this view can be enjoyed from only one side of the rooms and availability of these rooms is tricky or luck. Wi-Fi service in not available here. I felt the issue of proper ventilation in rooms and lobby area. Feels very congested and suffocated. Staff was very gentle and attentive. Very generous and kind receptionist Mr Chundawat, who are always committed to help the guests in every way possible. This hotel can be choose on the basis of location and budget friendly option.

It was one of the most memorable trips of mine. A solo workation trip transitioned into an amazing time with a lot of new people. Starry nights at the cafe, sunset views from the room itself and the amazing folks from different walks of life. Zostel is not just a place to stay, it's an experience everyone should try atleast once.

Harvey's old house, simple interior design, comfortable and quiet, the hotel's butler service is very good, will always implement our next breakfast time, whether dinner is delicious, arrangements for airport pick-up and so on. The rooftop hall is great, and the candlelight at night 🕯️ is very emotional, overlooking the night view of the castle, and fireworks are set off at night.
