We stayed in the cottages that the farmers have available, the accommodation is great, comfortable, clean and perfectly located for a stay in Ulverston. One negative regarding my booking, I booked 4 cottages for myself and my group of friends more than 3 months prior to my stay-using *********** and with no explanation other than “it is no longer available” given, 3 weeks before my arrival one of the cottages was cancelled by the Farmers. Luckily I was able to find another room elsewhere at different accommodation otherwise my friends would not have been able to attend at all !! then to add to this a week later the other 3 rooms were cancelled!! upon speaking to the farmers I was told that this was an error by *********** and they should have just cancelled the one room and I could book the rooms direct with them, but all of a sudden 2 rooms price had increased by £50 and the other by £70, I can’t help but feel this has been done with it being Bank Holiday Weekend and demand being high just to make money out of us for the rooms that we booked and this somewhat tarnished my view of the Farmers

As usual, the staff behind the bar were friendly and helpful. We sat outside with our dogs, warmed by the heater under the canopy. I had fish and chips and my hubby had the spicy pizza. The food was FIRST class! Thin, crispy pizza base with lots of toppings and my fish and chips were the BEST I’ve had in ages! Hot chips, light, crispy fish batter with a large chunky piece of fish. Highly recommended.

Just finished an amazing Sunday lunch. Everything was just as I like it; with extra gravy too. Veg was properly cooked, Yorkshire pudding to die for. Portion size very good too. Loved it and would definitely visit again. The atmosphere was good and staff very efficient and pleasant.

We arrived here saturday 5pm. .17 of us . We had a lovely table , drinks were served with good humour . The starters ,mains , came out all in a line . No one waited . The staff were good natured, patient, even though some of our party had forgotten what they had ordered a couple of weeks in advance . The food , from the fish and chips ( fish was amazing, chunky white flakes ,tasty ,hot, ) to the fillet steak ,were all excellent. Thank you all for a brilliant birthday celebration, ,thankyou for your brilliant service , patience, professionalism , .all delivered with huge smiles . . .You made our night . 🌹🌻🌷

We stayed in 1 the old bake house. The location was amazing as it was right in the middle of the village. The value for money seemed fair. Had all the facilities we needed. They recommend parking for a £1 which is only one location, all others are pricy. First impression wasn’t too great smelt kinda funky when first arrived. Only downfall was probably the boiler cupboard. Smelt damp and it was right next to the bed which was very off putting in the morning for me. Anyone with a sensitive nose won’t get a good night sleep. Hope they rectify it quickly because it will only get worse. Overall happy with the stay!

The food was very nice but the service was absolutely terrible. There was 7 of us and we ordered drinks and they brought the wrong one then when we asked for another it never came. We asked for the bill and they charged us the normal 20 percent tax then a further 5 percent tax. It was our sons birthday meal and it was spoilt by such bad service
