The Sun Inn

"Booked 2 nights in a refurbished double room 20, Monday to Wednesday, at £98 per night. The room was on the top floor and very small. The carpet was stained and the hanging rail and bed were broken. We were moved to room 12 on the second floor another supposedly refurbished room. It was much larger but still not as clean as I would expect. There is no suitcase stand or shelf in the bathroom to put your wash bags and one small hook for the towels. All the corridors to the bedrooms have a faint smell of urine. The stair bannister rail is so sticky I did not touch it a second time. Needless to say after an 8 hour drive we stayed for one night and came home writing off the cost of the second night. The only saving grace to this b&b is the young staff who tried to help out."

"Last minute dinner for two booked Saturday evening. Had visited during the day for glass of wine and found the bar staff so friendly, so we decided to give the Hotel a try for evening dinner. Incredible choice on menu and the food beautifully fresh and cooked to perfection together with very friendly efficient staff. 100% customer service. Amazing views from the restaurant which we weren’t expecting Will definitely return."

"A bit far from Windermere town. Limited parking space. Luckily I arrived early and managed to get a parking lot Good full Cumbrian breakfast. Room and bed is ok except that the room heating needs improvement."
