建物自体が素晴らしいです。かつての高級旅館？の面影が至る所にあります。 ロビーの造りもとてもおしゃれで、お部屋も和室で古いですがリノベされていて、広々とした立派な造りです。ツアーでの宿泊で、添乗員さんがあまり良い話をしていなかったですが、確かに部屋以外は結構寒い。ロビーや広い廊下にはヒーターや石油ストーブが置かれていました。しかし、不便さはあってもノスタルジーを感じる良い旅館と思いました。 食事は畳敷きの宴会場にいす席が用意されていて、朝夕ともに和定食でしたが、とてもおいしかったです。 残念な点は水回り。特に大浴場は洒落た造りながらやや清潔感に欠けるかな。硫黄泉だから仕方ない面もありますが。 スタッフの方も親切で感じが良く、階段ではスーツケースを運んでくれます。
