Since the location is on a mountain, driving was quite difficult when renting a car. The view and the Hell Pilgrimage Trail were good. The Hell Pilgrimage Trail consists of a deck that is easy to walk on with comfortable shoes, so it was easy to walk on. If you take your time, you can leisurely spend about an hour as you come down after looking at various things. There aren't many shopping streets in town, many places close around 5:30 p.m., and it's difficult to buy alcohol. If you are going to have a drink at a ryokan, I recommend buying it in advance. There is one izakaya that is open until midnight^^ Although it is an old ryokan, the staff provided good service and it seemed to be kept clean. We stayed in a place with an outdoor private bath, and although it was a small bathtub that felt like it was filling up with water for two adults, it was nice to spend some quality time in the outdoors, and we were satisfied with being able to enjoy the private hot spring whenever we went. There isn't much to see and a walk through hell on a rainy day created the perfect atmosphere. I was very satisfied with the hot springs and have a lot of desire to come again next time. Very good value for money. Breakfast and kaiseki were better than average.

First time! I booked a room with an open-air bath from a certain site. I contacted the inn because I was told to call if I wanted to use the prefecture resident discount. I was told, "We will process it here, so please cancel the reservation on the website," so I canceled the reservation on the website. When I checked in on the day, the receptionist asked, "Did you make a reservation with ○○ or something?" When I explained the above flow, they went to the office in the back without saying anything and talked to other staff, and it was clear that the reservation had not been made. "It's a room with an open-air bath, right?" The room I was shown was a room with an open-air bath, but there was no hot water stored in it. The staff who came to ask if I wanted to store the bath water was also unfriendly and said, "If you don't store hot water, it's fine for the regular room price." Despite it being a complete mistake on the part of the inn, the employee and the woman at the front desk were arrogant and did not apologize at all. Only the manager? was kind and apologized at the end. It was a trip with friends that I had been looking forward to for several months, but it made me feel terrible. I booked it thinking it was a long-established establishment, but I don't think I would recommend it to others and I will never use it again.
