I couldn’t check-in because my passport was expired by 2 months. I already renewed it but it isn’t ready for pick-up yet. I can renew my padron in Spain, I can travel by train, I can stay at other hotels..just not here. And since this happened the day of my stay, I couldn't get a refund.
I asked to use the restroom and Jonathan, the guy at the reception, escorted me to the cafeteria, claiming that he needed to look for something up there, when he clearly was just making sure I didn’t go to the room, as he asked to talk to me when I walked out of the restroom. Incredibly disrespectful and intrusive. I truly felt discriminated against and harassed for something I had paid for.
I apologize for calling you out, Jonathan, and I understand you’re doing your job, but I asked to talk to your manager and you didn’t call him/her, and I’m most certain your job isn’t to make people feel as bad as I felt.

Vecchio albergo a cui alcuni tentativi di ammodernamento eseguiti in economia non tolgono l'aria di vetustà e sostanziale tristezza. Alcuni esempi: pavimento della doccia con inclinazione sbagliata e senza soglia, così che quando la si usa si allaga sistematicamente l'intero pavimento del bagno; presenza di zone ruggini o ammuffite e porte scrostate per gli allagamenti; assenza di piani d'appoggio; TV col telecomando che non funziona se tenuto a più di 30 cm di distanza dallo schermo (ma non è poi così grave perché non c'è alcun canale internazionale e quindi non c'è niente da vedere). Corsie lise nei corridoi. C'è un bar tristissimo del tutto sguarnito di prodotti e con seggiole scomodissime : non si sa per cosa lo tengano aperto. Personale della reception gentile. Solo una cosa è da 4 stelle, il costo!

Estuvimos alojados en este hotel de 4 estrellas, destacando su ubicación junto a la plaza del Ayuntamiento, en cuanto a las habitaciones amplias, confortables y silenciosas, el desayuno bufet muy completo. La atención del personal muy profesional. Recomendable

This hotel is excellent, location is perfect , just off the main plaza , within walking distance of all tourist spots ! The room was spacious , spotless & staff excellent. Bathroom was adequate with a great shower. Definitely pay the little extra for a balcony 😜 . The lounge on the first floor is lovely for a drink in the evening. If coming from airport get the metro & walk 5 mins from Colon stop 🛑

Situation centrale ( donc un peu bruyant) pour cet hôtel datant début 1900 .Hôtel vieillot mais correct. Personnel très serviable et souriant. Petit déjeuner correct mais servi dans une salle très froide ( manteau nécessaire pour manger)Propreté des chambres. . Nous nous attendions à mieux pour un 4 étoiles.

buen hotel para visitar la ciudad, mezcla lo antiguo con lo moderno, las dos únicas pegas es que en la habitación hacía mucho calor y no podíamos regular la temperatura, y las sábanas de las almohadas estaban rotas con agujeros, da muy mala imagen que las sábanas no se vean blancas y tengan esos fallos. Para salir del paso, que es lo que buscábamos está bien, de precio es caro respecto a otros similares.

Mooi hotel, interessante geschiedenis (eerste hotel van Valencia, Hemingway en Robert Capa logeerden er ooit), geweldig mooi verbouwd, fantastische ligging en supervriendelijk personeel. Echt een prima uitvalsbasis voor een bezoek aan Valencia. Aandachtspunten: de WiFi werkte niet goed (in ons geval geen probleem), het ontbijt was middelmatig, in de receptie hing een weeïge geur (rioolproblemen?). Het hotel is een aantal jaren geleden verbouwd maar nu echt aan een flinke opknapbeurt toe (vooral badkamer en verfwerk).

What a great hotel. Excellent service, great value for money. Perfect central location and spotlessly clean rooms Rooms are uncluttered but still offer a wide range of amenities such as dressing gowns and slippers, toiletries etc. A rally great place to stay and everyone so helpful.
