I couldn’t check-in because my passport was expired by 2 months. I already renewed it but it isn’t ready for pick-up yet. I can renew my padron in Spain, I can travel by train, I can stay at other hotels..just not here. And since this happened the day of my stay, I couldn't get a refund.
I asked to use the restroom and Jonathan, the guy at the reception, escorted me to the cafeteria, claiming that he needed to look for something up there, when he clearly was just making sure I didn’t go to the room, as he asked to talk to me when I walked out of the restroom. Incredibly disrespectful and intrusive. I truly felt discriminated against and harassed for something I had paid for.
I apologize for calling you out, Jonathan, and I understand you’re doing your job, but I asked to talk to your manager and you didn’t call him/her, and I’m most certain your job isn’t to make people feel as bad as I felt.

2017 waren wir zum ersten Mal im Reina Victoria, dann noch einmal während der Pandemie und nun vor einer Woche. Eine riesige Enttäuschung! "One shot" hat das Hotel übernommen und seither wurde nichts investiert. Die Dekoration im Frühstücksraum war früher wunderschön (s. Foto), das Buffet vom Feinsten. Jetzt hingegen ist alles auf Sparflamme reduziert: kleine Käsestückchen, Backwaren aus dem Supermarkt, Säfte (außer Orange) aus der Dose. Selbst Ikea hat qualitativ besseres Besteck. Obwohl die Räumlichkeiten sehr schön sind, scheint niemand die Bar zu besuchen. Im Badezimmer verschlissene Handtücher (s. Foto), die von innen schwer zu öffnende Badezimmertüre unten beschädigt (war wohl ein Wasserschaden). Für 2 Personen gibt es im Exekutivzimmer zu wenig Stauraum (keine Fächer oder Schubladen, nur 60cm zum Hängen), obwohl das Zimmer sehr groß ist. Da das Personal sehr bemüht und die Lage des Hotels sehr gut sind, gibt es trotzdem 2 Sterne.

Great hotel, room and Bathroom were clean. Everything worked and the staff were brilliant. Very helpful and friendly. Bed was comfortable and aircon worked great. Great location in the city centre. Metro, bus and taxis just around the corner.

Mooie grote kamers met balcon en prachtige ligging dichtbij het stadscentrum, De badkamers zijn nieuw en functionneel, ik zou dit hotel aanraden. min puntje : de bar is maar open van 17h00 tot 21H00 en geen mogelijkheid om rustig in een lounge te kunnen genieten van een boek of iets anders.
