Fabulous in every way, over the top service and friendly, helpful staff. This is the best option by far for a hotel adjacent to the main sights of Valletta and it is literally across the street from the central bus station which will get you all over the island of Malta. Perhaps my best 5 star hotel experience ever.

Spent 18 nights at the hotel. The building, presentation and decor are outstanding. There are beautiful gardens and the bastion pool with sunbeds, dining tables and bar. There were plenty of staff, all of whom were attentive and pleasant. Several deserve a mention: Shanihwanni was excellent at looking after us at breakfast and Ealias and Bikash at the club bar in the evening. Luca in the lounge. The hotel is ideally situated a short distance from the Bastian of Valletta, is near taxis and buses. The manager has a high profile swooping in every morning, eyes everywhere! During our stay, the owner was also present for a while. The staff we spoke to, love him and he puts the guests first. If there are any downsides, the Contessa menu was disappointing and static and the food we think, not up to the standard of the rest of the hotel. Secondly, I have mobility issues and found the over bath showers difficult. Overall, a very enjoyable stay and would highly recommend it!

We booked the afternoon tea during our stay in Malta and had a fantastic experience. From the minute you enter the cool relaxing reception area you realise you have entered a high class and elegant hotel. The staff were very efficient and friendly and made you feel welcome. The afternoon tea was presented beautifully and tasted delicious as we hoped for. The selection was very filling and good value for money. After we were informed of the option to walk through the stunning gardens to the rear of the hotel which we did and they are beautiful. A slice of luxury for the afternoon and it was memorable.

This could be one of my new favorite hotels. It truly felt like "coming home" after each day out sightseeing. To a person, the staff is gracious and eager to provide the best experience for each guest. The lobby is bright and elegant. The breakfast buffet is very extensive and served in a beautiful area with the option to sit on the terrace on a nice day. The grounds are impeccably maintained. Our room (231) was quiet, very comfortable bed, nice little terrace with great view, large and with lots of closet space. There is a small but very nice and accommodating salon on the lower level.

Wonderful relaxed ambiance and outstanding location with excellent access to Valletta. All the main historic sights are with easy walking distance and superb transfer links. Super friendly and helpful staff made us feel very special throughout our stay. Would recommend highly.

Nous ne logions pas à l'hôtel mais sommes allés déjeuner et boire un verre au bar de la piscine. Excellents cocktails et sushis, accueil d'une grande gentillesse dans un cadre très agreable. L'addition etait correcte pour la prestation. Nous avons passé un très bon moment.
