I really like this hotel. It's very new and smells good. Breakfast is delivered directly to the room. It's large and delicious. The front desk also gave me a high-rise room with a great view. It's next to JW. You can change rooms.

Super nice hotel, new and big, in the city center, meets the five-star standard, there are Chinese-speaking service staff at the front desk, there is no refrigerator in the room, and there is a free ice machine in the corridor, if you need iced drinks, go get the ice yourself Good, the bed is big, the bedding is comfortable, and it is cleaned and tidy every day. Don’t forget to leave a tip of $5 next to the pillow~ There are supermarkets and restaurants in the surrounding area. Don’t worry about homeless people. Homeless people are only 2 kilometers away activities in that area. Overall recommendation, perfect~

Nice hotel in a slightly inconvenient location for the average tourist. Very convenient if you are attending BC place or Rogers arena; plus handy for YaleTown etc. We had a car so transport was no problem, but there are buses and Yale-Roundhouse Station is about 10 minutes walk. The hotel is lovely, very clean and comfortable. We were met by staff who took us and our bags up to the check-in floor. You only have to do it once to understand the layout. The Douglas is attached to the JW Marriott so there are lots of options for dining and entertainment (******) There is a couple of coffee shops across the road too. I found the Yeti cooler box a poor substitute for an actual fridge, but it worked OK to chill a bottle of wine etc. The only other quibble I had was housekeeping. I feel that at a hotel of this level, there should be no debate about daily refreshing. We got back on Saturday mid-afternoon and to find the room as we left it. I have no problem with making my own bed, but do appreciate the basic level of clean towels and garbage removal. Anyway we spoke to the staff and had no more issues.

Our first time staying at this hotel and it was great. We will be returning. The BC Market restaurant was very good, with great food and service. The room service was very good and fast and easy to order via the online order system. The only area that we thought could use some attention is the in-room coffee but it wasn't terrible.
