Staying for one night, the biggest feeling is that it is worthy of an old big-name hotel. The room is clean and the layout is reasonable. The whole building is full of history and culture. The location of the hotel is also convenient to go around. It is worth staying!

Great location with outdated room. Swing door lock was missing. AC is not working (maybe I’m not using it properly). Biggest issue is noise level. It’s 12:26am and there is loud music sound coming from somewhere non stop for the last 3 hours. My room is on 13th floor. I don’t know if it’s because Friday night and maybe it’s from a bar at the ground level. Don’t people sleep here. Next time I’ll find another hotel. Vancouver was great tho
After a call and a personal visit at the front desk, finally the noise stopped around 1:05am. It was from a rooftop party. I don’t think I can sleep tonight as I’m wide awake dealing with this issue.
The following day, checked at the front desk and found out that on the weekends, there are parties on 15th floor rooftop between Thanksgiving and year end. I was able to switch room to 7th floor and the problem disappeared the following 2 nights.
I loved the location and people were friendly but just beware that you may have to deal with loud music if you were to stay on 13,14th floor (maybe 12th floor) on the weekends in Nov/Dec.

The location and environment of the hotel are very good, except for a Chinese lady at the front desk who was not enthusiastic enough when checking in, and was a little arrogant and rigid. Not friendly enough to feel uncomfortable. Checked in quickly. Other facilities and services felt great
