Wander Station Varanasi

The place is a bit pricy for India and Varanasi but in my opinion completely justified. Tidy clean (even in western terms!), helpful staff, good vibe, and cool rooftop with a restaurant. The food is nice but nothing special though. Just one small disappointment, I wanted to pay for a late check out but the hostel turned it down. He didn’t even want to check if the room is needed the same day or not (to see if it’s feasible).

This is a popular place and it's easy to see why. Tastefully decorated with a colourful hippy vibe, it's a warm, inviting hostel. Its a bit tricky to find when you first arrive as it is nestled amongst the narrow labyrinth of back streets, only accessible by foot or by motorbike. The double room we had was very comfortable and had an ensuite and a little fridge which was great for keeping drinking water cool. The rooftop is a great place to mingle with other guests so solo travellers soon make friends with other guests staying there. On our first night, there was a great acoustic group playing, everyone sang ***** ( not us, it was all in Hindi!) But still we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and dispite being old enough to be everyone's parents we were made warmly welcome! They served cold beers but no other alcohol. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They helped us arrange our taxi to our next destination and even walked with us, carrying our bags and leading us out of the labyrinth to the taxi, for which we are very grateful.

A great choice for those seeking proximity to Dashashwamedh Ghat – just a 5-minute walk away. While the food is decent, it's the ambiance and the fellow travelers that truly elevate your stay. Some room for improvement, but it's hard to find a hostel near the ghats as good as this one. Definitely worth a try!

©The staff was so supportive and the room was neat and kind of a well-worked AC (will stop at some point of time due to the insufficient power supply of the city). Its location is also great which is closed to the Main Street and the main ghat that you can watch a magnificent night aarti! Also the morning boat tour provided by the hotel was quite good, the boat *** was patient to explain the culture to us and give us so ***y suggestions and answers! Oh and the breakfast was worthwhile to give a try! The only thing may be the small alleys towards the hotel was a bit dirty and dark making it hard to find the right place!

Comfortable stay in the middle of the hustling streets of Kashi. 30-40 secs walk to the Ghat for the view of Ganges on one side and on the other is 5 mins walk to the Dashashwamedh Ghat for famous Ganga Aarti. Kashi Vishwanath Temple is just around the corner. Ganges view from the rooftop.AC rooms, common area. Meet Ashutosh - Host & Owner and I'm sure you'll have a good time.

The Hostel is just by the banks of the Ganga. The hostel staff are friendly and they guide you through the narrow roads and they come to pick you up. The rooms were pretty clean and a very pretty common area. There is not much interaction that is done by the host about any walking tour. But the hostel lits up with classical concerts organised on the terrace. Don't think the terrace is included with the hostel, as they don't allow any outside drinks or food on the terrace. You have to buy from the cafe which is a bit pricy. The cafe owner sounded rude to me. Overall really a great experience and you will find BABA LASSI and different cafes all nearby. The Kashi Vishwanath temple is just 4 min walk from the hostel. You can chill and sit on the hostel terrace and altogether it gives you a different vibe of Benaras.

We were there in Wander station for 3 days . This is my first experience staying in hostel with my friends in a dorm . Honestly it was an amazing experience and memorable trip for us. Rooms are quite clean and staff is superhelpful. It’s at a prime location just a min away from main ghat Rooftop view is mesmerising and vibe is killing with amazing fellow traveller. Food here was mind blowing . We tried almost all cuisines and everything was out of the world Overall it was a wonderful stay and highly recommended . Looking forward to next visit and more branch in another location

Staff very friendly. Room very clean and cleanen during stay. Hot shower outside even outside temperatures of 90 degree F. Yes, wonderful. Good price. Walking distance to ghats. ***y thanks for the possibility to stay in your hostel.
